cwfloppy is a Linux device driver for the Catweasel Advanced Floppy Controller manufactured by Individual Computers. The Catweasel is a versatile Shugart bus controller (i.e., it can control floppy drives). It is extremely flexible and can be programmed to read and write just about any floppy disk in the world. This driver supports reading and writing of Amiga and MS-DOS DD/HD 3.5" disks.
CANpie defines a Standard API for access to the CAN (Controller Area Network) bus. The API provides functionality for ISO/OSI Layer 2 (Data Link Layer). The CANpie driver is the base for HLPs like CANopen, DeviceNet, J1939, etc. Through its low memory footprint, CANpie can be used for embedded applications (without any OS) as well as for Linux. Access to the Linux CAN driver is via a socket interface (AF_CAN).
Open-BLDC is firmware for STM32 microcontroller based brushless motor controllers. The goal of the project is to support active freewheeling, active break, adjustable timings, rotation speed and power controllers, and many more. Support for multiple interfaces like PPM, RS232, I2C, and CAN is planned.
Spindown is a daemon to spin down idle disks and thus save energy and give the disks a longer lifetime. It also works with USB disks and hot-swappable disks because it uses the device ID to identify the disk instead of the device name (such as hda or sdb). This means that it doesn't matter if the disk is swapped while the daemon is running.
Hotplug2 is aimed at early Linux user space, i.e. initramfs or initrd, and possibly also at embedded devices (such as WRT-like routers) or very weak machines, such as 386/486. It connects to the uevent netlink socket and reads events. The application generally operates in two modes: dumb and smart.
