KMetronome is a MIDI metronome with KDE interface, based on the ALSA sequencer. The intended audience is musicians and music students. Like solid, real metronomes it is a tool to keep the rhythm while playing musical instruments. It uses MIDI for sound generation instead of digital audio, allowing low CPU usage, and very accurate timing thanks to the ALSA sequencer.
The XML Forms Generator Eclipse plug-in takes a model-driven approach to forms generation, using as a starting point either Web Service Description Language (WSDL) documents or XML instance documents having Eclipse Modeling Description (EMF) backing models. The generated forms adhere to the XHTML and XForms 1.0 standards, and can be viewed in popular XHTML/XForms renderers.
Raven's System Stats allows users to collect detailed information about an operating system, including kernel architecture, distro, operating system, kernel version, glibc version, name of login shell, number of CPUs, CPU description, hyperthreading support, CPU MHz, CPU cache, bogomips, used and total RAM, used and total swap, filesystem size and type, uptime, unique users logged in, total login shells, currently running processes, total processes since bootup, load average, X resolution, and the number of X servers running.
IBM Pattern Modeling and Analysis Tool for Java Garbage Collector (PMAT) parses IBM verbose GC traces, analyzes Java heap usage, and recommends key configurations based on pattern modeling of Java heap usage. If there are any errors related to Java heap exhaustion or fragmentation in the verbose GC trace, it can diagnose the root cause of failures. It provides rich chart features that graphically display Java heap usage.
katmel is a Linux kernel driver for any Atmel AVR serial programmers on the parallel port of your PC. All kinds of programmers are supported due to configurable pin-to-signal mapping. This is only the kernel driver. It has been tested against kernel version 2.4.21. The MuProg project uses this kernel interface to implement an Atmel AVR microcontroller programmer for Linux.
MuProg is a user space program for programming Atmel AVR microcontrollers. It needs the katmel kernel driver. This application can program the fuses, lock bits, EEPROM, and the flash ROM. It reads hex files. Most AVR microprocessor types are supported and automatically identified by requesting the Chip ID (if supported).
Crogai is a mix of crowd simulation, artificial intelligence, and genetic algorithms. It is possible to set up simulations and test different AI in a full 3D environment with a small physics engine, terrain, collision handling, etc. Crogai is inspired by the OpenSteer projet and uses steering behaviors as building blocks for the AI. The agents can graze, hunt each other, and emit spores for reproduction. A genetic algorithm allows the agents to evolve, and let them decide whether to do so or not. In addition, the examples provided by the project make nice screensavers.
