GNOME Sensors Applet is an applet for the GNOME Panel to display readings from hardware sensors, including system and CPU temperature, fan speeds, and voltage readings under Linux via the hwmon and i8k kernel modules. It has a highly customizable display and an intuitive user interface.
PTXdist is a build system ("executable documentation") for compiling root filesystems for embedded systems. PTXdist is based on a KConfig configuration system in combination with a set of rules which describe how all the source packages out there have to be tweaked to be compiled into a proper root filesystem. Once a configuration has been developed, reproducing it is as easy as "ptxdist go".
PassTools were written to simplify the process of applying password protection to directories on Apache Web servers. This package is based on Apache's .htaccess authentication mechanism and consists of two independent tools. PassAdmin is intended for use by Web space owners and is a Web-based password file editor that can add or delete users and change their passwords. PassChange is designed for users of a Web service and allows users to change their password, provided that they know their current password.
Shallot is a server-based audio file manager and player. Unlike most remote media managers, it plays audio through the server and not the client. The clients (currently a full-featured Web client and a primitive wxPython client) are able to control playback and manage the media library.
Tellu is inventory management software that collects hardware and software information automatically from networked servers and workstations, and stores collected data in MySQL database where data is easily readable using a comprehensive user interface usable by any modern Web browser. Devices (like routers and switches), peripherals (like video projectors and displays), and service providers (like hosting and maintenance) can also be stored in the database using a Web interface called Tellu Skin. Inventory management is only one part of Tellu's capability, Tellu offers the possibility to group together workstations, servers, devices, passwords, file attachments, and others to form a faction. For example, a faction can contain all the stuff that a development team needs in their development environment.
STXXL is an implementation of the C++ standard template library STL for external memory (out-of-core) computations. STXXL implements containers and algorithms that can process huge volumes of data that only fit on disks. While compatibility with the STL supports ease of use and compatibility with existing applications, another design priority is high performance.
