The Amahi Home Server is a Linux home server based on Fedora (and later on Ubuntu). Your machine becomes a "Home Digital Assistant" (HDA) after the installation. It provides a growing set of community packaged apps like an iTunes server, UPnP server, calendar server, a wiki, shared network storage, network backups, a printer server, VPN, and a plug-in architecture built on Ruby on Rails.
The Zumastor Linux storage project adds enterprise storage features to Linux, primarily improved snapshots and remote replication. Point-in-time, near zero-cost, block level snapshots can be added to any existing filesystem and performance does not degrade with multiple snapshots. Remote replication is achieved by sending minimal block level deltas between snapshots without having to traverse the entire filesystem like rsync does.
OpenThinClient is a thin client solution consisting of a Linux-based operating system along with a comprehensive Java-based management GUI and server component. It is intended for environments where a medium to large number of thin clients must be supported and managed efficiently.
The cronie package contains the Vixie version of cron. Cron is a standard UNIX daemon that runs specified programs at scheduled times. This fork of cron adds better security and more powerful configuration options to the standard version of cron. It's possible to use cronie with or without these features: PAM authentication, SElinux, and inotify support.
DIASER is a cloud storage class combined geo-data replication, long-term archive system, and WAN vault application. Manage long term mixed data archives generated by existing backup software. Ensure availability using commodity hardware. Retain administrative and financial control. It combines a disk-based backup volume management system and triple redundancy with a storage architecture designed to structure months to years of long term sustainable archiving space. It is a quick and low-cost way to make an environment more robust by backing up data in multiple places. This replication also provides fast retrieval of archived data from all node hosting locations. A Perl installer creates the system. Nodes can be dedicated to storage or used for existing services over unused bandwidth. DIASER works in user space over SSH.
Uzklive is the live port of Uruzuki GNU/Linux. It contains a lot of multimedia applications, games, and networking tools. You can use Synaptic as an on-the-fly software installer and, while uzklive is running, you can use temporarily installed software. It uses the GNOME desktop environment with Woki Toki's Rico sound theme. It can also be used to install the Uruzuki GNU/Linux distribution over the network.
V.A.P.E.S. (Virtual admin for Postfix email server) is a Web interface for Postfix administration. This interface is for configuring and administration of virtual domains in Postfix with a PostgreSQL backend. It can configure domains (add, delete, and modify), virtual email addresses (add, modify, and delete), and email forwards (maps).
CinayOS is a 64-bit operating system that was forked from Linux in order to develop a radically different approach to concurrency, SMP, and most other kernel subsystems. Its goals include a new caching infrastructure, easy software package management, and an OpenGL accelerated animation system.
