OpenSVC is a 'service' manager, as in clustered service manager. Services are described as collections of resources (IP, disk groups, filesystems, file synchronizations, and application launchers). Services can be started, stopped and queried for status, providing a consistent command set for wildly different service integrations. Services can be administered using a stand-alone free software stack deployed on the nodes (nodeware). Service configurations, status, and logs are pushed to a central database coupled to a Web front-end (collector).
JBuddy Developer Tools is a robust suite of APIs and software development frameworks for creating instant messaging applications and solutions. It is comprised of the JBuddy SDK, JBuddy Bot Builder, and JBuddy Bot Framework. The JBuddy SDK is a unified IM client API supporting public IM services including AIM, ICQ, Windows Live (MSN), Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, and enterprise IM servers including Lotus Sametime, Microsoft Live Communications Server (LCS 2005), Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS 2007), and XMPP (Jabber) servers. The core JBuddy SDK implementation and APIs are available in Java while a tight C++ wrapper exposes the JBuddy APIs for Microsoft COM and .NET. The JBuddy Bot Builder and JBuddy Bot Framework are built on top of the JBuddy SDK and greatly simplify building, testing, and deploying powerful IM Bots.
The Easysoft ODBC-Access Driver is an ODBC driver that supports both the MDB (Access 2000–2003 and Office Access 2007) and ACCDB (Office Access 2007 and later) database formats. It provides read-write access to Access databases for Linux/Unix applications. You do not need to change where your database file is located, as it supports shared locations such as a Windows or Samba share. It uses Access’ locking file mechanism and prevents users from opening a database if another user has the database opened for exclusive access, again mirroring the Access front-end’s behavior for seamless integration. It supports encrypted/encoded .mdb files, which is an Access security feature that protects Access data from unauthorized viewing.
hwloc provides command line tools and a C API to obtain the hierarchical map of key computing elements, such as: NUMA memory nodes, shared caches, processor sockets, processor cores, and processor "threads". hwloc also gathers various attributes such as cache and memory information, and is portable across a variety of different operating systems and platforms. hwloc primarily aims at helping high-performance computing (HPC) applications, but is also applicable to any project seeking to exploit code and/or data locality on modern computing platforms.
The Qore "tibrv" module provides direct TIBCO Rendezvous support, allowing Qore programs to send and receive Rendezvous messages directly. Note that to use this software, you must have a licensed version of TIBCO Rendezvous from TIBCO, Inc (so this module depends on non-free software).
The Qore "tibae" module provides TIBCO Adapter support; it allows Qore programs to send and receive messages to and from TIBCO Adapters (or implement a TIBCO Adapter in qore) based on an external repository. This module provides the TibcoAdapter class and associated constants and helper functions. Note that in order to build and use this module you must have a licensed version of the TIBCO SDK from TIBCO, Inc (i.e. it depends on non-free software).
