LibDsk is a library that attempts to create uniform functions for accessing floppy drives, raw "dd" disk images, and disk image files in various emulator formats. Its intended use is for emulator authors; it also includes some sample tools to read sectors from discs in CP/M, DOS, and Acorn formats. There is special-case code for direct access to the floppy controller under Linux, and to access the floppy driver under Windows. Java (JNI) bindings are included.
Python-mhash is a Python interface to the mhash library, which provides a uniform interface to a large number of hash algorithms. These algorithms can be used to compute checksums, message digests, and other signatures. The HMAC support implements the basics for message authentication, following RFC 2104.
KInterbasDB is a Python extension package that implements Python Database API 2.0-compliant support for the open source relational database Firebird and some versions of its proprietary cousin Borland Interbase. In addition to the minimal feature set of the standard Python DB API, KInterbasDB also exposes nearly the entire native client API of the database engine.
T/TCP For Linux is an implementation and integration of T/TCP (Transaction TCP) into Linux kernels. T/TCP is an extension for standard TCP which uses a monotonically increasing variable, CC (Connection Counts), to bypass the 3-way handshake and reduce TIME_WAIT perild. T/TCP greatly decreases the overhead that standard TCP introduces when dealing with transaction-oriented connections. T/TCP for Linux also focuses on the promotion of wide adoption of T/TCP, since it has indisputable performance advantages over standard TCP.
GreatCharts is used for creating good-lookings stock charts. It was mainly developed for stock Web sites, to create on-the-fly charts. Small charts (closing+volume) can be drawn in less than 10ms. It can read different input formats, and can draw up to 20 charts in one PNG with different scales. The supported types are: Closing, OHLC, Volume, and Candlestick. The supported formulas are: Moving, Moving Average, RSI, MACD, and Stochastic. The supported drawing types are: line, filled, bar, and filled bars (filled can be transparant to the background/underlaying plots). Everything is configurable through a config file and parameters, including your own background, sizes, etc.
openMosix is a a set of extensions to the standard Linux kernel allowing you to build a cluster of out of off-the-shelf PC hardware. openMosix scales perfectly up to thousands of nodes. You do not need to modify your applications to benefit from your cluster (unlike PVM, MPI, Linda, etc.). Processes in openMosix migrate transparently between nodes and the cluster will always auto-balance.
