wmnetload is a network interface monitor dockapp for Window Maker. It is designed to fit well with dockapps like wmcpuload and wmmemmon. Translation is a Web-based language teacher's tool. It allows you to add sentences and their correct translations to a database via a browser, choose from the database which sentences to 'serve' to a group or an individual student, give a header and a footer text to the prepared translation and activate it for use, and add students to the database. The students can browse to their part of Translation, log in, and do their excercise. When students have completed their task, a message is sent to them and their teacher containing the original sentences and the correct translation by the teacher and the pupil's version. The Administrator of Tranlation can add teachers to the database and modify the language.php file to the desired language, visible in the browser by everyone. It has language support for Dutch, English, German, Greek, Finnish, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, and Turkish.
The Internet Gopher Client is based on the UMN Gopher/Gopherd 2.3.1 code. Gopher is an Internet technology that predates the Web. It presents information as a virtual network-wide filesystem. Modern browsers such as Konqueror can display gopherspace as if it contained files on your local machine (trees, drag and drop, etc.), but the difference is that each file or folder in that tree may be on a different machine.
SAVget is a Bash script which is a clone of the Windows SGET utility released by Sophos AntiVirus. In addition to emulating most of SGET's features (automatic retrieval of registered products and virus IDE files for example), it can also be integrated with email clients such as Mutt to automatically retrieve new virus definitions as they are announced.
