dircproxy is an IRC proxy server ("bouncer") designed for people who use IRC from lots of different workstations or clients, but wish to remain connected and see what they missed while they were away. You connect to IRC through dircproxy, and it keeps you connected to the server, even after you detach your client from it. divine will use ARP requests to look for hosts that are always up in the networks that you frequently use your laptop in and then set the IP configuration including /etc/resolv.conf and write proxy settings in /etc/proxy. A perl script to edit your netscape 4 preferences is included. You can also run a custom script for each network to edit /etc/printcap or /etc/issue or whatever you feel like. The ARP method is much quicker than the "ping" method that other solutions use.
