CRMME (prounounced "Cream-Me") processes mail from maildirs or mbox (UNIX-style mailboxes) into categories. It provides a simple procmail setup that lets the mail be sorted, and a cron job to learn new messages every night. It is provided as a wrapper around the CRM114 engine written in Python 2.2+ (2.1 with email module is acceptable and tested).

It is designed to provide snap-in HIPAA transaction compliance, and supports numerous provider specialties and direct payer links as well as clearinghouse submissions. It is also an excellent claims entry program for firms wishing to bill electronically without a fully-fledged practice management system.
Spackle is designed to be a flexible client/server architecture for the gathering and displaying of statistics, primarily suited to monitoring servers. It's written in PHP and bash shell script, uses RRDtool for stats logging and graphing, and PostgreSQL or MySQL for the server-side database.
