Hawserwar's player objective is to "pull" the knot on the rope towards the player's end of the rope. The knot moves one step towards player every time player presses the right letter the game is showing for the player to type next. The knot moves one step away from player every time the player presses a wrong letter. These same rules apply for both players. The game uses FIFOs for communication so both players must be logged in to the same machine to play the game.
ssthreads provides a more robust threading environment than linuxthreads. It supports priority inheritance, full n-way deadlock detection, and the ability to perform thread operations in a signal handler. It was designed to do this while requiring no system calls in the normal (no contention) mutex lock and unlock.
ssh-smart is a basic proof-of-concept implementation of ssh authentication via smartcard. The smartcard which is used to store the ssh identity is a memory card (I2C 16KBIT/2048 bytes). ssh-smart uses multiple Perl scripts and the smartcard program to establish communication with the reader and the memory card. It has only been tested with the Towitoko chip drive micro, but it could work with other card reader terminal drivers using the CT-API library. The project is in an early stage of development and a lot has to be done before it can be considered a reliable solution to store an ssh identity in a secure way.
3M Touch Systems USB TouchScreen Driver is a package containing a kernel module which supports a USB touchscreen device made by 3M Touch Systems (formerly known as MicroTouch Systems Inc.). This touchscreen is also known as IBM SurePoint, and it is used for instance in IBM SurePOS 750. This kernel module is a pre version, and still requires a lot of improvements, but it works well. If anyone is interested in further development, we can move the sources to SourceForge.net. The driver was tested on kernel 2.3.99-pre9, and XFree-3.3.6-20.
FlyWay is a navigational route planner for pilots. It allows the user to find and select waypoints (airports, navigational aids, and fixes), then calculates distances, courses, wind corrections, and times. Information about the waypoints is provided (including frequencies, elevation, fuel availability, and runway descriptions). The route data is also used to fill in an editable FAA Flight Plan form. FlyWay has an X11 GUI based on the PyQt library.
givertcap is a small Linux application that is used to give other applications real-time capabilities. With the aid of givertcap, you can run real-time applications (audio and video -processing apps for example) with high priority, without running the application as root. Your application does get collection capabilities that allow it to run at very high priority.
