pkgusage lists all the packages you have installed on your system, along with a number telling you how many days ago you last accessed any of the files in the package. This could be useful for cleaning out your hard drive. Pkgusage works with RPMs and Debian packages, and is written to be easily portable to other package managers as well.
The poldek is an RPM package management tool which allows you to easily perform package verification, installation (including system installation from scratch), upgrading, and removal. Package dependencies are automatically handled, so if you try to install a package that needs others to be installed, it will download all needed packages and install them. It can be used in batch (like apt-get from Debian's APT) or interactive mode. The interactive mode puts you into a readline interface with commandline autocompletion and history, similar to the shell mode of Perl's CPAN.
prtpacker (Portable Resource Tree Packer, pronounced PIRT-Packer) is a tool for creating C or C++ source code from external program resources such as images, text, or data. These resources can be arranged in a tree structure much like a typical file system. After compiling and linking the resulting source code you can access the resource tree from within your software through a simple API. Be aware that all resources stay in memory and cannot be easily deallocated.
qmail-installer is a shell script that asks the user a few configuration questions, and then downloads, patches, installs, and configures qmail and its dependencies. Currently, the script installs daemontools and ucspi-tcp, and optionally qmailanalog, the SMTP AUTH patch, the qmail-queue patch, and the virus-scan-zip patch. The installer offers a number of modes (outbound only, outbound only with SMTP, normal, and normal with POP). The qmail installation performed by this script is compliant with Dan Bernstein's licensing, and is very close to an LWQ installation.
The rPath Appliance Agent (rAA) is an extensible application framework for the administration of appliance devices through a Web-based user interface. The framework is comprised of individual component plugins which offer specialized functionality, such as a message log interface, user account preferences, system updates, and entitlement management capabilities. You can also develop and add plugins to the rAA framework, extending capabilities and functionality for your specific requirements.
radmind is a suite of Unix command-line tools and a server designed to remotely administer the file systems of multiple Unix machines. At its core, radmind operates as a tripwire. It is able to detect changes to any managed filesystem object, e.g. files, directories, links, etc. However, radmind goes further than just integrity checking: once a change is detected, radmind can optionally reverse the change. Each managed machine may have its own loadset composed of multiple, layered overloads. This allows, for example, the operating system to be described separately from applications. Loadsets are stored on a remote server. By updating a loadset on the server, changes can be pushed to managed machines.
regionset allows you to check and set the region code of DVD drives. This program was part of the package "dvd_disc_20000215.tar.gz" from Convergence, which is no longer distributed because of the new German copyright law. (The package also contained some CSS and copying related tools.) regionset was separated and all CSS related stuff was removed. This program is needed by everyone with a new DVD drive that doesn't have a region code set, since the drive will only play Video DVDs when the region code has been set once.
