Gendist is a live CD generator system. It has nice features like multi-distribution CDs, support for grub, isolinux, and gfxboot boot managers, and a modules system for configuring your distribution in live mode. This system is independent from the kernel version (but need unionfs and squashfs support). It only works on Debian Sid or Ubuntu Dapper.
64 Studio is a collection of native free software for digital content creation on x86_64 hardware (AMD's 64-bit CPUs and Intel's EM64T chips). It's based on the pure 64 port of Debian GNU/Linux, but with a specialised package selection and lots of other customisations. The distribution includes the Linux kernel with realtime preemption patches, the GNOME desktop, and a selection of creative applications, covering audio and music, 2D and 3D graphics, and publishing for the Web and print. It also includes Internet and office tools that a creative user is likely to need for their daily work.
ZeroShell is a Linux distribution with Web administration aimed at providing the main network services a LAN requires: Kerberos and x.509 authentication, LDAP and RADIUS authorization, routing, bridging, VLAN 802.1q management, VPN LAN-to-LAN and host-to-LAN, support for authenticated WI-FI access with WPA and WPA2, DNS and DHCP servers, and Captive Portal to access the network using Web login (Internet hotspot). The distribution is now available in the form of a LiveCD or Compact Flash image for embedded network devices. The image size is 103 MB. The distribution is produced directly from the source code of any installed packages.
OpenSDE is a kit for creating customized operating systems based on GNU/Linux. OpenSDE has an easy configuration tool which allows anyone to put together their own GNU/Linux distribution that addresses their specific needs. OpenSDE supports over 2400 software packages and the number is still growing.
Cobbler is a network installation and update server. It can be used to automatically set up PXE, install virtual guests, manage answer files, and reinstall existing Linux machines. Advanced features include importing distributions from DVDs and rsync mirrors, kickstart templating, integrated yum mirroring (integrated with the installer to make updates available at install time), creation of netboot ISOs, and built-in DHCP/DNS Management. Tools such as "cobbler triggers", a Python API, and an XMLRPC API allow integration with cobbler with the rest of your datacenter environment or other systems management applications. There is also a Web interface to simplify management of the install server. Cobbler supports RHEL 4+, Fedora, and derivative distributions, and is also able to install other popular distributions.
