gpppwrap is a graphical user interface to conveniently select a phone number and dial into your ISP. It's very convenient if you use different ISPs, and is based on the GTK GUI libraries. It is only a wrapper around the ppp-on/ppp-off scripts and gives you therefore still the power and flexibility of these scripts. It is written for people who like the power and flexibility of shell and Perl scripts, and also want an idiot-proof way to connect to the Internet.
(Multi-Agent) Transport Planner is a dynamic single agent transport planner for vehicle routing problems and dial-a-ride problems. These problems occur in every public transport and transportation company, but although some older algorithms can be found in the literature, a good implementation has never been published. It uses a (very quick) standard insertion technique to insert orders one by one into a set of routes.
XCOM is a system designed to support component based programming in Linux. It features a specialized IDL compiler that generates C++ code, in-process components, embedded metadata, most of the common numeric data types, narrow and wide string types, array, sequence, and struct types, and error reporting via exceptions.
Nuts & Scrap is a platform arcade game with some touches of a graphical adventure title. It features two fearless robots whose mission is to save the human race, which is endangered by an evil doctor trying to take over the world. The game sports fun 3D pre-rendered graphics and a spectacular sound track. It has won a prize from the "Art Futura & Sony Playstation" game development contests.
libvcvideo is targeted as a super-simple cross platform video device library. It's starting with the most basic features and building up, all while keeping a simple API and strong documentation for beginners. Currently only select devices are supported, but as more hardware becomes available that will change. Right now it only has limited compatibility with Linux Webcam devices that use the original V4L specifications and output RGB24 data. This is actually a very large set of devices, as that is the generic description for most spca5xx and gspca devices. Though incomplete, if you have the right device it is very simple. Counting variable declaration, you only need four lines of library code to get a frame from a camera.
RWMA (Ruby window manager addons) is a modular wrapper around dmenu and dzen for adding various keyboard driven actions to (usually minimalistic) window managers, inspired by ruby-wmii. Its main purpose is launching programs and displaying notifications, but it can be expanded with plugins (for example translation, music player control, and volume control).
mod_rangelimit aims to provide protection from DoS attacks using the Range header in Apache. It does so by analyzing the ranges supplied in the Range header. It checks the headers before mod_setenvif, and if there is even one invalid range in the request, the whole request is declined. The module also checks the number of supplied ranges and the number of overlapping ranges. It provides two options, MaxRanges (defaulting to 20) and MaxOverlappingRanges (defaulting to 5).
