vmm is an easy-to-use and configurable commandline tool for administrators and postmasters, used to manage domains, alias-domains, accounts, and relocated mail users. It allows fast and easy management of mail servers. It's designed for installations using Dovecot and Postfix with a PostgreSQL backend.
vnStat is a console-based network traffic monitor that keeps a log of hourly, daily, and monthly network traffic for the selected interface(s). It uses the network interface statistics provided by the kernel as information source. This means that vnStat won't actually be sniffing any traffic, and also ensures light use of system resources.
vncssld is a VNC SSL repeater for Unix. You can use it to access your user's desktop using VNC SSL. The advantage of using a repeater is that you don't need to configure your firewall to be able to connect to your user's desktop: both VNC server and VNC client connect to the repeater. Since it is using SSL, It can even work using a standard HTTP/HTTPS proxy (like squid or DansGuardian).
votmic is a Web voting system for small virtual societies. Each member receives a specific URL every time there is a new issue to vote on. By going to that URL and clicking an option, his vote is recorded. The current results and who voted for what and from what IP address are displayed to all members, so votes can't be tampered with. If one votes repeatedly, only the last vote is considered.
vp-usb-lock is a Linux kernel driver and PAM module that utilizes the PC wireless USB lock and makes it possible to use it as authentication method for your Linux box. It is easy to install, but needs access to the sources of the kernel and PAM to build correctly. It has been tested under Fedora Core 2 with a custom made 2.6.7-1.494.2.2 kernel, but it should also work with other kernel versions and distributions.
vplot is a set of Linux routines and programs for plotting on vintage Tek 4010, 4012, 4014, and 4016 storage tube terminals. They can also be used to some extent with xterm's tek emulation. It includes a program that supports a fast parallel interface to the Tek minibus using the Linux parallel port. These are personal routines, not the official Tek Plot10 code.
vpn-shaper is a dynamic traffic shaper for openvpn, poptop, and similar programs, using iproute2. It allows shaping of traffic between many users conected to one server, and it supports different prioritiy schemes for different users and different types of traffic. Trafic shaping uses the HTB qdisc. Prioritization uses l7-filter and ipp2p and some of the patch-o-matic extensions. Classification of trafic in HTB classes is done by using the IPMARC patch-o-matic extension. vpn-shaper requires the IPMARK patch-o-matic extension, connmark iptables match, and HTB qdisc.
