LibDBX, part of the ol2mbox project, contains C and a C++ interfaces for accessing Outlook Express dbx files. The C++ interface is just a wrapper for the C interface. It includes two programs. One will read a dbx file and output the emails in mbox format to stdout, the other will read the main "folder.dbx" file and export all the folders into separate mbox files.

Netfarm is a mail filter written in Python that parses all incoming/outcoming mails and extracts some fields. Then it passes this info to a Zope server using XMLRPC, and Zope stores it into a DBMS (tested with PostgreSQL). The filter also backs up mail on the filesystem.

tagbk is a tool that rearranges XBEL bookmark files to improve navigability. It considers every bookmark as if it were tagged with one or more categories, all with the same importance. It does so by mapping the tagged bookmark collection to the usual hierarchic structure, using an algorithm that should create trees that are more intuitive to navigate.
