MonoDevelop is a GNOME IDE primarily designed for C# and other .NET languages. intelligent code completion attempts to complete type, method, and field names as you're typing. The IDE automatically gets the class information from your source code files and from the libraries referenced in your project. A class viewer allows you to list the classes in your project, their methods, and properties. Your namespaces are also tracked to keep the classes separated. A powerful add-in engine, a modular API, and a complete set of extension points provides a seamless platform upon which to build your own development tools.
pg_xnode is an extension (module) which adds several data types to the PostgreSQL database server, allowing it to store XML documents, XML (tree) nodes, and XPath expressions. Unlike the in-core implementation of XML, pg_xnode does not require repeated parsing of XML data, and thus should be more efficient. In addition, the extension has functions to add/remove nodes to/from existing XML documents, and templates to create XML documents from tables.
Unnamed un-names unwanted DNS entries. It was written to solve the problem of upstream DNS servers inserting bogus records for NXDOMAINs. It can be used to filter unwanted domain names like ads, porn, time wasters, etc. It is modular, so extensions are easy. Extensions can be written in Lua or compiled as shared objects.
hexter is a software synthesizer that models the sound generation of a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer. It can easily load most DX7 patch bank files, edit those patches via a built-in editor or MIDI sys-ex messages, and recreate the sound of the DX7 with greater accuracy than any previous open source emulation (that the author is aware of). It operates as a plugin for the DSSI Soft Synth Interface.
Archivist is a network device configuration archiving and versioning program. It uses Subversion as its revision control system. Its multithreaded design makes it quite fast and thus suitable for operation on large networks with thousands of network devices. It supports Cisco IOS, Cisco CatOS, Juniper JUNOS, and Brocade/Foundry MLX series, but it can be easily extended to support any SSH or telnet-based network device by creating your own config download and post-processing scripts.
OGRI (Original Generic Reporting Intranet) provides a simple Web-based interface with "portals" for viewing any number of reports in a secure manner. It is designed to be as lightweight as possible in terms of server load, and its simple interface means it works well with most browsers.
