Fast Track Systems Monitor (FTMON) is a monitoring engine that can be integrated with other systems management vendor solutions. It also defines a standard that allows applications/devices to be instrumented rapidly. The intent is to allow writing an FTMON monitor for virtually every device or application, and that any detected problems from these monitors will be able to be forwarded to any systems management solution. It is currently completely configuration file based.
percomoni will monitor one or more processes. It can read a regular expression from its configuration file to look up the process in your local process table. If the process is not running, percomoni will execute a given command and re-check if the process is up again. If the process is not up after executing the command, an email message will be sent to the address that belongs to that process.
fd2python creates a python interface to the Xforms graphics library. It uses SWIG 1.3 to construct the interface specification. It can output template main code, template callback code, and a template makefile. Additionally, it can be invoked seamlessly when running 'fdesign -python'.
