Qt is a comprehensive, object-oriented development framework that enables development of high-performance, cross-platform rich-client and server-side applications. When you implement a program with Qt, you can run it on the X Window System (Unix/X11), Apple Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows NT/9x/2000/XP by simply compiling the source code for the platform you want. Qt is the basis for the KDE desktop environment, and is also used in numerous commercial applications such as Google Earth, Skype for Linux, and Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Shard-Query uses partitioning and sharding to add query parallelism and grid computing capabilities to MySQL. Multiple interfaces are included, from a commandline client to an object oriented interface to a MySQL proxy interface for nearly-completely transparent access to a sharded data set.
Flexviews adds materialized view support to MySQL. Flexviews includes FlexCDC, a change data capture utility which reads MySQL binary logs and produces "change log" tables. These tables can be used to incrementally refresh materialized views, which can be significantly faster than completely rebuilding the views each time. Flexviews also supports "complete refresh" materialized views, which are always rebuilt from scratch each time.
Csum is a tool for manipulating CSV, TSV, PSV and other table formats for the command line. It can be used for converting between several formats; selecting and manipulating cells matching a selector; inserting or rearranging columns; sorting, reversing, or selecting unique rows; rotating rows so they become the columns of the table; and more. It was designed for environments where the use of a graphical spreadsheet to edit a CSV file was not possible or practical.
cgipaf is a combination of three CGI programs. passwd.cgi allow users to update their password, viewmailcfg.cgi allows users to view their current mail configuration, and mailcfg.cgi updates the mail configuration with a .procmailrc in the user's home directory. All programs use PAM for user authentication. It is possible to run a script to update Samba passwords or NIS configuration when a password is changed. Users with too many invalid logins can be locked. A range of UIDs that are allowed to use cgipaf can be set in the configuration file. A changepass utility - a chpasswd clone - is provided for platforms that doesn't have such a command, like Solaris.
Wine is an implementation of the Windows API on top of X and Unix. It does not require Microsoft Windows, but can use native Windows DLLs if they are available. It provides both a development toolkit for porting Windows source code to Unix as well as a program loader, allowing many unmodified Windows programs to run on x86-based Unixes.
