Dxr2 Resource Center is a community focus point for the Creative Dxr2 DVD decoder card. Creative Dxr2 drivers for Linux, and other platforms are actively being developed, as well as a multitude of other programs, drivers, documentation, etc. The Website is the home of the Creative Dxr2 drivers (dxr2-driver). Included is a script for compiling the Dxr2 drivers, as well as various components (dxr2install), a Dxr2 plugin for the XINE media player (xine-plugin), and other projects related to the Dxr2 decoder card.
cmictl sets some internal parameters of CMI 8338/8738-based sound cards. It allows you to utilize the S/PDIF out of your card. cmictl can control S/PDIF-in, S/PDIF-out, S/PDIF-loop, S/PDIF-monitor (SPDIF-in to Analog-out), S/PDIF-out voltage (5V / 0.5V), and S/PDIF frequency (48kHz / 44kHz). Some parameters are only available on CMI8738-based cards.
Gemu is a Gnome application designed to configure sound cards based on the EMU10K1 platform from Creative Labs. Gemu is capable of adding, viewing and deleting audio routes, turning on Live Drive IR, turning on the 12db boost to the front/headphone jacks on Live cards, setting the S/PDIF frequency on Audigy cards, setting the recording source, turning on digital passthrough mode, setting to the analog or digital mode of the dual-mode jack of 5.1 cards, adding and seeing patches for sources and destinations, and controlling volume on a per-route basis or by source or destination.
PBButtons is a daemon to handle special hardware on laptops such as Apple PowerBooks and MacBooks. It controls the display brightness, the sound volume, mutes the sound, changes the trackpad mode, puts the machine to sleep, or ejects the CDROM on command. It also provides basic power management features. An included client gives the user visual feedback about all actions with nice little popup windows.
fbmodes is a package of utilities for generating display modes. First, you input the desired display resolution and vertical refresh rate, and the program calculates all the obscure numbers and produces X11 modelines, fbset mode descriptions, and SVGATextMode mode entries. After previewing the mode a few times and fine-tuning the values, you soon have the mode you desire.
Sand Kit contains libraries designed for neural networks training and calculations, and a Linux kernel module for the SAND board neuro accelerator. The calculation library supports Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP), Radial Basic Function (RBF), and Kohonen networks in hardware acceleration mode and MLP and RBF networks in software emulation mode. It provides a C++ class library and simple C routines for neural network calculations. It has a flexible configuration which includes setting the maximum permitted memory usage, calculation and memory usage optimization options, input and output data sources, and debugging options. The configuration can be changed simply by editing the configuration file and/or with the built-in Gtk+ user interface. The learning library provides a flexible way to write new learning algorithms and methods using a powerful modules library. It contains several common learning routines, including an enhanced random search and resilient backpropogation algorithms. It is integrated with the calculation library to use software as well as hardware modes. All methods have separate configuration files. Support for interface plugins is provided, and all learning routines have built-in Gtk+ interface plugins.
