Berkeley DB (libdb) is a programmatic toolkit that provides embedded database support for both traditional and client/server applications. It includes b+tree, queue, extended linear hashing, fixed, and variable-length record access methods, transactions, locking, logging, shared memory caching, database recovery, and replication for highly available systems. DB supports C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, and Perl APIs. It supports key-value pair (NoSQL), SQL, and Java Object formatted data. It is available for a wide variety of Unix platforms as well as QNX, Android, Mac OS X, and several varieties of Windows.
The Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge allows applications on one machine to access ODBC data sources on another. It supports multiple concurrent connections from multiple clients to multiple target databases. The principle application is to enable access from Linux and Unix platforms to remote ODBC databases. For example, Apache/PHP programs on Linux can read/write data held on MS SQL Server on Windows, and Perl programs can read/write data held in a MS Access database. Supported applications include Applixware, Open Office, Python, Rexx/SQL, mnGoSearch, OpenLDAP, and Oracle sqlplus. Supported platforms include Linux, MacOSX, IBM zSeries, Windows and various Unix flavors.
RADpage is a rapid application development system for dynamic, data-driven Web applications. It directly operates inside the browser without requiring a client-dependent development environment. RADpage comes as an Apache module or a CGI, includes a powerful HTML/XML like object-oriented programming language called heitml (pronounced "Hi-TML"), and more than 150 Web application components. Development is done on a fully functional application instead of requiring the edit-save-browse cycle associated with conventional client-side development environments. The RADpage editor stores application pages in readable well-formed XML or upon request in HTML for editing with HTML editors.
CLIP is a Clipper/XBase compatible compiler with initial support other xBase dialects. It features support for international languages and character sets. It also features OOP, a multiplatform GUI based on GTK/GTKextra, all SIX/Comix features (including hypertext indexing), SQL and ODBC drivers, a C-API for third-party developers, a few wrappers for popular libraries (such as BZIP, GZIP, GD, Crypto, and Fcgi), a multitasking client and application server based on TCP/IP sockets, object data base utilities, and a functions library.
JWAA is a software framework for building dynamic Web applications as networks of first-class Java objects. XML is used for representing information normally coded as HTML. The XML files are automatically reloaded when they change. It has a "persistent forms" feature in which form data automatically persists in the database such that fields behave like pieces of paper that automatically preserve what's written on them. This default behavior is easily overridden. Invalid links are reported at XML load time via the browser, and are also recorded in log files.
Ora2Pg is a Perl module to export an Oracle database schema to a PostgreSQL compatible schema. It connects your Oracle database, extracts its structure, and generates an SQL script that you can load into your PostgreSQL database. It dumps the database schema (tables, views, sequences, indexes, grants) with primary, unique, and foreign keys into PostgreSQL syntax without editing the SQL code generated. It also dump Oracle data into PostgreSQL DB as online process or into a file. You can choose what columns can be exported for each table.
The Chemistry Development Kit (CDK) is a library of Java classes for chemo-, bioinformatics, computational chemistry, and chemometrics. It provides important algorithms like substructure search, SMILES, Gasteiger charges, QSAR descriptor calculation, 3D structure generation, 2D layout and rendering, many IO formats, atom typing, and more.
Artekopia Netjuke is a cross-platform Web-based audio streaming jukebox powered by PHP 4 and an increasing choice of databases. MP3, Ogg Vorbis, ASF/WMA, and other music file formats are supported. Artekopia Netjuke aims to enable small organizations or communities run a private "mp3.com-like" Web site to access the music they legitimately own, distribute, or are granted access to. It supports most audio players, language packs, optional file downloads, media protection schemes, multi-level security, shared and private playlists, random playlists, images, etc. It also features an unusual, easy-to-use installer module to get you started in minutes.
A tool which splits a single WAV file into multiple wav files based on silence.
