linux-ftdp-ssl is the netkit ftp server with encryption support. ftpd-ssl replaces normal ftpd using SSL authentication and encryption. It operates together with normal ftp. It checks if the other side is also talking SSL, if not it falls back to normal ftp protocol. Advantages over normal ftp(d) are that your passwords and the data you send will not go in cleartext over the line, and nobody can get it with tcpdump or similar tools.
ftp-ssl is similar to the standard FTP client and it interoperates with normal ftpd, but it uses SSL authentication and encryption. It checks if the other side is also talking SSL, and if not it falls back to the normal FTP protocol. Advantages over normal FTP include encryption of passwords and transmitted data, preventing network sniffers from acquiring secret information (most notably passwords).
Vexira Antivirus is virus defense system. It can identify which files may contain malicious code requiring further investigation, which greatly increases virus scanning speed. It features the ability to scan files automatically as they are accessed, configurable path protection, email notification, blocking of access to infected files, options to repair, rename, or delete infected files, automated Internet updating, virus scan archives (.zip, .rar, gz, .tar, etc.), a commandline scanner, scalable concurrent scanning, heuristic detection of new macro viruses, and low system resource requirements.
FinalSolution is a network administrator's tool to check the strength of network passwords. This is done by trying to crack the server you want to test. FinalSolution is multithreaded--i.e., it makes many simultaneous connections to the test server in order to optimize the bandwidth usage. It is also distributed, which means you can make the test from many computers to a single server. It could be useful in some cases when the test server has more bandwidth than you. Using distributed cracking helps optimize the bandwidth usage in the server's side.
CyberFusion is a system that provides secure file transfer across a LAN, a WAN, and the Internet. It offers encryption and security, reliability and guaranteed delivery, management and automation, audit and control. It offers cost-saving migration from competitor products such as Connect:Direct which is supported with useful tools. It may be used as part of a VPN, ERP, EAI, or ETL software solution for secure file transfers as well as in disaster recovery, data archive, and backup and restore operations.
tcpick is a textmode sniffer that can track TCP streams and saves the data captured in files or displays them in the terminal. It is useful for picking files in a passive way. It can store all connections in different files, or it can display all the stream on the terminal (using colors too).
