BongoSurfer is a least-cost router for Linux, like the Smartsurfer program for Windows. It allows you to connect to the Internet with a 56k modem or ISDN, and chooses the cheapest provider for you. The tariff database is updated every day from http://www.billiger-surfen.de/. Since the tariffs only apply within Germany, the program is of little use in other countries. It features a cost calculator, a traffic monitor, an online timer, and more.
Trojan scan is a simple shell script that allows for simple but relatively effective checking for trojans, rootkits and other malware that may be using your server and network for unwanted (and possibly illegal) purposes. It works by listing all processes that use the Internet with the lsof command (using -Pni flags). This list is then transformed into signatures in the form of process_name:port_number:user. These signatures then are matched against the allowed process defined in the configuration. If any signatures of running processes are found that do not match the allowed signatures, an email report is sent including ps, ls, and optional lsof output.
dmzBackup is a program for backing up data in a heterogeneous DMZ network. It features disk-to-disk backup of remote/local host data, data encryption, multiple simultaneous data flows, error logs and email reporting, a search tool for locating files in a backup, a compressed index, host timestamps for incremental backups, human readable journal logs, host based configuration files, command-line arguments for interactive backups, client side compression, and unlimited (remote) backup clients for one backup host.
DVD-Baker generates a DVD consisting of menus and slideshows from a picture collection stored in a Menalto Gallery G2 Web site or in a locally stored directory tree. Each "leaf" album (an album that does not contain sub-albums) is used to create a slideshow. The slideshows (and any DVD-ready MPEG videos) are made accessible on the DVD with menus that follow the structure of the Web site or directories. Extra features include random or sequential autoplay, and audio support. Since dvd-slideshow is used to produce each slideshow, it supports effects such as crossfades, crops, and 'Ken Burns' effects.

Examples for all modules are also included. For Java and Mono/C#, there is an object-oriented interface, and for C, there is a function based interface.
LBackup is a simple backup system aimed at systems administrators who require reliable backups with minimum fuss. It is configured with configuration files, and the backup is started from the command line. It has been tested for over 10 years. Backups can be to local media, or to remote media via one or more networks. The networks may be private LANs, WANs, or sets of untrusted public networks such as the Internet.
dirogg is a small script to migrate your entire music collection to the Ogg Vorbis format. It's a recursive script, meaning that you run it from the root of your music collection, and it will automatically convert your MP3 files to Ogg Vorbis (ogg) files. If you wish, it can also remove your MP3 files after conversion.
