libposix is an impementation of the core functionality of all Unix systems. It is a full, cross-platform implementation of the POSIX 2008 standard. It is meant to replace existing implementations of a Unix system's core libraries. It is an exact implementation of POSIX 2008 and nothing else (no extensions, no previous POSIX versions). However, it works well with possible extensions to the core system functionallity (for example, GNU or BSD).
Fiwix is an operating system kernel based on the Unix architecture and fully focused on being Linux compatible. It is designed exclusively for educational purposes, so the kernel code is kept as simple as possible for the benefit of students. It runs on the 32-bit x86 hardware platform, and is compatible with a good base of existing GNU applications.
The Smart Card Detective (SCD) is a general framework for research on smart cards. It allows you to monitor any smart card application (including Chip and PIN / EMV transactions) and create your custom applications. The software is completely open source, and the hardware can be bought from Smart Architects. The device has a smart card interface as well as a terminal/reader interface, allowing the SCD to act as a passive/active monitor between a card and a reader or emulate a card or a terminal. Using the Python command line interface, you can interact with the SCD using a PC. This allows more flexible operation, although the SCD also features many stand-alone applications and a battery so that you can also use it without a PC.

The dyncall library project provides a clean and portable C interface to dynamically issue foreign function calls using small call kernels written in assembly. Instead of providing code for every bridged function call, which unnecessarily results in code bloat, only a modest number of instructions are used to invoke all calls.

Slibo aims to be a comfortable replacement for the xboard chess interface, written for OpenGL and KDE. It uses the xboard protocol and can be used with common chess engines like crafty or gnuchess, but it provides its own chess engine too. Though its designed to be easy to use for the new chess player, it supports playing multiple games the same time, or anaylzing PGN files with multiple engines.
h2incn tries to directly convert C/C++ headers to Nasm-style include files, and can be used in a makefile. It is useful if you want to use the same structures or external variable declarations in C and assembler code, and you don't want to use two separate files and update both each time you change something. It is written in a mix of C and C++ code. It currently works for simple files.
cpuburn is is a set of programs that load x86 CPUs as heavily as possible for the purposes of system testing. FPU and ALU instructions are coded in an endless loop in an attempt to maximize heat production from the CPU, putting stress on the CPU itself, the cooling system, the motherboard (especially voltage regulators), and power supply. The tests may damage undercooled, overclocked, or otherwise weak systems and cause data loss or permanent damage to electronic components.
