Raggier is a plugin-based raytracer that supports XML format scenefiles, POV-Ray, and Polyray scenefiles. Other facilities planned include Lindermayer Systems (L-Systems), AVI/OGM (Ogg Vorbis)/Matroska animations, and a Perl/PHP Web interface. Raggier uses the Libtrace library, modified with various fixes to get it to compile using gcc 3.x and to improve the results. The modified version is called LibTraceMod and is available in the CVS.

It supports DVD and High Definition resolutions (720p and 1080p), stereo and multi-channel (5.1 surround) audio, DVD title playback, high quality subtitle overlay, support for embedded subtitles, and SRT subtitle files, selection of an audio stream and/or subtitle overlay from the DLNA device, and support for IMDb movie titles and descriptions.
cmus is a small, fast, and powerful console music player for Linux and *BSD. It supports almost all common file formats, SHOUTcast/Icecast streaming, and multiple output plugins. cmus features multiple media library views, a playqueue, a directory browser, powerful filters, and vi-style search and keybindings. It also features gapless playback, ReplayGain, Unicode support, and customizable color schemes.
MuseScore lets you notate and compose music easily with your keyboard, your mouse, or a MIDI keyboard. You can print beautifully engraved sheet music or export it as PDF or PNG. You can play your score, transpose it, and save it as audio or MIDI file. MuseScore also supports MusicXML to let you share your composition with other scorewriters. MuseScore is often advertised as a cost effective alternative for Sibelius and Finale.
