LibRaw is a library for reading RAW files obtained from digital photo cameras (CRW/CR2, NEF, RAF, DNG, and others). LibRaw is based on the source codes of the dcraw utility, though some of the drawbacks of dcraw have been eliminated. The users of the library are provided with an API to be used when writing their software programs.

libburnia is a project comprised of libraries and binaries for reading, mastering, and writing optical discs. It provides libburn, a CD/DVD/BD burn library, libisofs, a manipulation library for ISO 9660 filesystems, and libisoburn, a ISO 9660 multi-session library. On top of them there is cdrskin, a cdrecord emulator, and xorriso, a all-in-one application for ISO 9660 multi-session operations which additionaly provides a limited emulation of mkisofs.

Valentina is cross-platform SQL and non-SQL columnar database that allows development of client-server [Web] solutions and applications with an embedded local database using the same sources. Valentina DB provides an Object-Relational model, but you can also mix Relational and Extended Navigational. The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture is composed of several parts. The first is a fully modularized sound driver which supports module autoloading, devfs, isapnp autoconfiguration, and gives complete access to analog audio, digital audio, control, mixer, synthesizer, DSP, MIDI, and timer components of audio hardware. It also includes a fully-featured kernel-level sequencer, a full compatibility layer for OSS/Free applications, an object-oriented C library which covers and enhances the ALSA kernel driver functionality for applications (client/server, plugins, PCM sharing/multiplexing, PCM metering, etc.), an interactive configuration program for the driver, and some simple utilities for basic management.

Armadillo is a C++ linear algebra library (matrix maths) aiming towards a good balance between speed and ease of use. Integer, floating point, and complex numbers are supported, as well as a subset of trigonometric and statistics functions. Various matrix decompositions are provided through optional integration with LAPACK and ATLAS libraries. A delayed evaluation approach, based on template meta-programming, is used (during compile time) to combine several operations into one and reduce or eliminate the need for temporaries.

Botan is a crypto library written in C++.
