oXygen is an XML editor that supports any XML document, and works with XML Schemas, DTDs, Relax NG schemas, and NRL Schemas. It has powerful transformation support that allows you to edit XSLT and XSL-FO documents and to obtain documents in the desired output format (such as HTML, PS, or PDF) with just one click. It also includes a complete Subversion client, support for flattening XML Schemata, an XML Schema instance generator, integration with the X-Hive/DB, MarkLogic and TigerLogic XML databases, editing actions on the diagram, and a rename refactoring action.
safe-rm is intended to prevent the accidental deletion of important files by replacing /bin/rm with a wrapper that checks the given arguments against a configurable blacklist of files and directories that should never be removed. Users who attempt to delete one of these protected files or directories will not be able to do so and will be shown a warning message instead. Protected paths can be set both at the site and user levels.
Sagasu is a GNOME tool to find strings in multiple files. The user specifies the search directory and the set of files to be searched. Double-clicking on a search result launches a user command that can for example load the file in an editor at the appropriate line. The search can optionally ignore CVS directories. Sagasu is a Japanese word that means "to search."
CCFE is a simple tool to quickly supply an interactive screen-oriented interface to command line scripts and commands. It prompts users for the information needed to run the commands, and can be programmed with your preferred shell to provide predefined selections and run-time defaults. It also provides a menu system to hierarchically organize them and a viewer to browse the standard output and standard error of invoked scripts or commands.
Mail2sh makes it possible to carry out shell commands by email. Email is sent to a particular user on your host and the commands will be carried out if the user and password given matches ones in /etc/passwd. Commands are executed with the user's privileges, and combined with a PGP module ensures a certain level of security for use. Note that the system is not natively encrypted, so use of an encryption mechanism is highly recommended for security reasons.
rxvt-unicode is a clone of the well known terminal emulator rxvt, modified to store text in Unicode and to use locale-correct input and output. It also supports mixing multiple fonts at the same time, including Xft fonts, real transparency, and an optional embedded Perl interpreter that allows you to extend your terminal easily.
