KitCreator is a simple build system for creating a Tclkit. It was created to ease creation of Tclkits. A Tclkit is, briefly, a single-file executable that contains Tcl (both the interpreter and all the resources it requires to operate) and other Tcl-related packages (such as Tk or Incr Tcl).
Slam is a mature IC Layout editor with the ability to edit very large designs (such as stream files larger than 10GB). Novel features include threading for redraw, support for displaying on multiple X servers simultaneously, and a Tcl interface to the database for user extensibility. The system is a library based system with multi-user support. Programmable structures (P-Cells) are available in Tcl. The editor includes gds input and output.
MIB Smithy SDK is a dynamic extension to Tcl/Tk (8.4+) that allows development of custom scripts for controlling SNMP agents, manipulating SMI definitions, doing conversions, and more. It is based on the core of Muonics' MIB Smithy, and the SDK supports SMIv1 and SMIv2, as well as SNMPv1/v2c/v3 with HMAC-SHA-96 and HMAC-MD5-96 authentication and DES/CBC and AES128/CFB privacy. It also provides complete read-write access to all elements of SMI/MIB Module definitions, unlike similar extensions that provide only read access to a limited subset. The SDK allows multiple discrete SMI databases and SNMP sessions, and provides all of the built-in validation and error recovery capabilites of the full product, without the visual MIB development environment.
BRL-CAD is a powerful constructive solid geometry solid modeling system that includes an interactive geometry editor, ray-tracing support for rendering and geometric analysis, path-tracing for realistic image synthesis, network distributed framebuffer support, and image and signal-processing tools.
Jkaptive is a simple captive portal without RADIUS (and thus without total security, but at the same time without too much hassle). The reason behind this is because a lot of site administrators don't need tight security; their site is just a café that offers free Internet access on an unsecured WLAN access point connected to the Internet, and they need a ticketing system to make it cumbersome for average people to use this offering without actually buying a single coffee. Jkaptive itself just presents the login page and checks the token. The blocking of unticketed traffic is done through Linux' netfilter. As no proxy server is involved, jkaptive has no performance penalty, nor does it create problems with non-HTTP traffic. Once the token is accepted, jkaptive is out of the way of any network packets completely. For presenting the login page, jkaptive has a built-in Web server, so no additional Web server application is needed.
SaVi is satellite visualization software that lets you create, run, examine, and modify satellite orbits in two and three dimensions. Simulations of Iridium, Globalstar, Galileo, GPS, and other satellite constellations are included. SaVi requires Tcl and Tk on a system with Unix libraries. SaVi works well with the 3D renderer Geomview. Geomview is optional, though recommended for its 3D rendering capabilities.
