Podget is a simple podcast aggregator optimized for running as a scheduled background job (i.e. cron). It features support for downloading podcasts from RSS and XML feeds, for sorting the podcasts into folders and categories, for importing podcast URLs from iTunes PCAST files and OPML lists, automatic M3U and ASX playlist creation, and automatic cleanup of old podcasts. It also features automatic UTF-16 conversion for podcasts hosted on Windows servers.
git-info-bar is a ksh, bash, gitbash, and Git shell plugin that endeavors to provide a fast and pronounced view of various git attributes when you are under the umbrella of a git repository. Its main feature, the 'info bar' (information bar), displays the following information: current branch (in 'red' if on master); current cksum (in 'red' if there are uncommitted changes, and an 'uncommitted changes' message in the message area); and stash count in the message area if you have stashes. It includes an install script and removal scripts. It is currently only tested in Bash, GitBash and ksh93. It was previously named 'bash-git', but the name has been transitioned to 'git-info-bar', as a long-term goal is cross-shell compatibility using a Perl back-end.
Munin is a system to gather and graph all sorts of information. You can install a node on the various machines in your network, as well as on a central server. The nodes will know how to extract various kinds of information, such as load average and bandwidth usage, and will wait for the server to request these values. The output is in HTML format. The server can optionally send notifications if any of the values move outside of a specified range (and when they move back into it).
OraRep is a PL/SQL snippet (embedded in a shell script) which creates a well-formatted HTML report on a given database instance, providing you with an overview on your instance(s), some hints for performance tuning, and more. It has been tested with Oracle 8.1.7, 9.0.1, and 9.2. The script easily fits into a cron task to be run on a regular basis. Sample output (HTML) is included. OSPRep does the same job for Oracle StatsPack Reports based on SnapShot Levels up to 7, and provides additional "plugins" for more detailed reporting on special issues. It also optionally creates a separate page with charts to visualize the results and more.
OpenRADIUS is a RADIUS server that allows you to use external data sources for anything - shared secrets, accounts and passwords, profiles, session database, NAS lists, called/calling nr. ACLs, accounting storage, and much more. It has a powerful external module interface that uses pre-spawned subprocesses and pipes for communication, allowing you to implement modules in any language that supports Unix pipe I/O. Its behaviour is fully configurable, using a simple built-in language that gives you full control over the request and reply list. It includes versatile LDAP and SQL modules, a full featured RADIUS client, and a fully functional example configuration for metered pre-paid accounts.
Werc is a minimalistic RESTful Web application framework and content management system. It follows the Unix "tool philosophy" and it is designed to be fast, simple, convenient, and easily extensible. It handles both small and big sites and has a flexible system for user and group permissions. All data is stored in plain text files that can be easily manipulated with standard tools, without using any databases or other external dependencies. Existing applications include a blogging engine with RSS/Atom feeds, a wiki system that can easily integrate pre-existing documents (can be enabled for any directory tree), and others.
LPAR2RRD makes historical, future trends and nearly "realtime" CPU utilization graphs of LPARs and shared CPU usage of IBM Power servers. It collects complete physical and logical configuration of all servers/LPARs. It is agent-less (it gets everything from the HMC/SDMC or IVM). It supports all kinds of logical partitions (AIX/AS400/Linux/VIOS).
wminfo is a Window Maker dockable application that displays text format information using the plugin. The standard plugin is a shell script. The plugin writes the information to stdout, and wminfo captures the output and displays it row by row. Using the appropriate plugins, wminfo can display different information obtained from the system or from the Internet.
