Archivist is a network device configuration archiving and versioning program. It uses Subversion as its revision control system. Its multithreaded design makes it quite fast and thus suitable for operation on large networks with thousands of network devices. It supports Cisco IOS, Cisco CatOS, Juniper JUNOS, and Brocade/Foundry MLX series, but it can be easily extended to support any SSH or telnet-based network device by creating your own config download and post-processing scripts.
BitDew is a programmable environment for the management and distribution of data for grid, desktop grid, and cloud systems. It can easily be integrated into large scale computational systems such as XtremWeb, BOINC, Hadoop, Condor, Glite, Unicore, OpenStack, and Eucalyptus. It provides key P2P, grid, and cloud technologies (DHT, BitTorrent, Amazon S3, DropBox) and high level programming interfaces with a simple API for creating, accessing, storing, and moving data with ease, even in highly dynamic and volatile environments.
DeforaOS Locker is a screensaver application, available for desktop and embedded environments alike. Written for the DeforaOS platform, it supports a plugin system for authentication, animations, or generic extension. It can notably reuse xscreensaver demos, or integrate a terminal as background animation while being active.
DeforaOS Phone is a GTK+ application that has an interchangeable telephony backend, complete with call, contact, and message management. With its backends for GSM modems, it can be used as the telephony application on phones including the Openmoko Freerunner, Nokia N900, and some HTC phones running custom Linux distributions, and as a tethering application that provides Internet access to a desktop computer. Support for VoIP protocols is under development, with a backend based on the sofia-sip library.
