A.M.I.C.U.S. (Automatic Multimedia Installation Configuration Utility System) helps users quickly and easily install and configure MythTV on generic PC hardware. It uses the Debian Netinst CD to install GNU/Linux and just the required packages to allow a functional MythTV on low end hardware.
The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture is composed of several parts. The first is a fully modularized sound driver which supports module autoloading, devfs, isapnp autoconfiguration, and gives complete access to analog audio, digital audio, control, mixer, synthesizer, DSP, MIDI, and timer components of audio hardware. It also includes a fully-featured kernel-level sequencer, a full compatibility layer for OSS/Free applications, an object-oriented C library which covers and enhances the ALSA kernel driver functionality for applications (client/server, plugins, PCM sharing/multiplexing, PCM metering, etc.), an interactive configuration program for the driver, and some simple utilities for basic management.
Acovel is a cross-platform media player (currently running on Linux and Windows). It features an intelligent algorithm that will analyze both ID3 (v1 ahd v2) tags and filenames to fill up its music collection database. Its search feature is very fast. It is currently limited to playing albums, but upcoming versions will make it a full-featured media player.

AmpJuke makes it possible to manage and stream your music online to several clients connected through a LAN or the Internet. In addition to streaming music, it can fetch "metadata" (album covers, images, lyrics, and track "fingerprints") automatically using various Web services such as last.fm and the.echonest. You can scan and import tags from as many tracks as you like, use favorites, and customize personal settings. Its focus is on easy navigation as well as speed.
Andromeda turns collections of MP3s into fully-featured streaming Web sites. Many other file formats are supported, including: WMA, OGG, MPG, AVI, and WMV. It can be used as a personal jukebox on a local network or over the Internet (bandwidth permitting). It works well with PHP-Nuke, PostNuke, and phpWebSite. Additional features include skins, custom playlists, logons/accounts, and a search tool. Andromeda is also multilingual, speaking English, German, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, and many other languages. No database is required. ASP and PHP versions are available.
Aqualung is an advanced music player originally targeted at the GNU/Linux operating system, and also running on FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and Microsoft Windows. It plays audio CDs, Internet radio streams, and podcasts as well as sound files in just about any audio format, and has the feature of inserting no gaps between adjacent tracks.
