OpenVPS is a set of software built on top of the Linux VServer aimed specifically at Web Hosting. It is not another set of kernel patches, but a set of scripts to create virtual servers, collect resource utilization information, and provide an interface to the customer as well as the administrator.
MBCD (MultiBootCD) is a shell script to make a customized CD-ROM that can boot any kind and any number of image files. Currently, 4 types of images are supported: floppy images (1.2M, 1.44M, or 2.88M), Knoppix-like images, kernel-binary images (e.g. memtest86), and the Windows XP Recovery Console.
The Syllable project creates a family of operating systems that form a network platform. Syllable Desktop is a complete desktop operating system that is exceptionally powerful, fast, and easy to use. It has its own kernel, filesystem, GUI, and applications. Syllable Desktop is based on AtheOS, is largely POSIX.1 compliant, and uses many of the GNU utilities. Syllable Server is a server operating system built to be similar to Syllable Desktop, but on the Linux kernel.
