PAGE is a drag-and-drop GUI generator for Python. It is aimed at building single Python modules which can display a relatively simple GUI constructed from the Tk and ttk widget sets using the Place Geometry Manager. The generated Python code can execute under Python versions 2.6 and 3.1.
Scid vs. PC is a powerful chess toolkit. It has extensive database and PGN file handling capabilities, and can be used to play chess on the internet (with FICS), against a computer chess opponent, or for chess grandmasters to prepare for tournament matches. Additionally, Scid vs. PC can run automated computer tournaments with chess engines playing against each other.
The Model Railroad System is a software package that can help you run your railroad. It allows you to operate your layout, from running trains to working your signals and switches. GetMeDone is a task manager in the spirit of Getting Things Done. It uses PostgreSQL as a backend and is written in Tcl/Tk. Currently only tested on Linux, it should be easy to extend to run on Mac OS and Windows. It features easy filtering of contexts, priorities, and time, advanced recurrent tasks, linking tasks to projects, deadlines, an ideas list, and the ability to defer tasks to future dates.
Esperantilo ("Tool for Esperanto") is a UTF-8 editor with linguistics functions for the language Esperanto, and is also a system for computer aided translation. It contains a spell checker and grammar checker for the Esperanto language. It can translate Esperanto text in different formats to Polish, German, English, and Swedish and from Polish and English. It also supports computer aided translation by interactive machine translation. Translation memory can be used also for any language pairs. It is an XLIFF editor. It supports XLIFF and TMX (Level 1) formats. Machine translation uses direct translation at the syntax level.
syncpasswd is an Expect script that synchronizes passwords via SSH on multiple platforms (Linux/BSD, OS X, and Solaris). It takes hostnames as a list of arguments and changes the specified user passwords on those hosts. It outputs results to stdout and logs to /var/log/syncpasswd.log (by default).
TK10 is a GUI for the Bottlerocket program. It provides a graphical interface for controlling X10 modules that come with the X10 Firecracker kit. TK10 is designed to mimic the look and functionality of the HR12A controller unit that comes with the X10 Firecracker kit. If you are familiar with the HR12A, then you will find TK10 very easy to use. The on/off/dim buttons, device letter dial, and device number range switch work just like in the HR12A, and you can also edit the device labels.
