OpenLaunch is a Web-based content management system that integrates a broad array of services into a single, fully-featured, elegantly designed Web site. The project aims to eliminte the difficulty of integrating multiple systems into a single Web site by implementing a blog, forum, Web pages, wiki, and (coming soon) E-Commerce and support tickets. It is built around the Torpedo Framework, an open MVC framework which includes support for controllers, forms, and a large number of other very useful utilities.
C-ICAP Classify is a module that allows classification (labeling) of Web pages, images, and soon video based on content. Labels are placed in HTTP headers. Any PIC-Label META tags are exported into HTTP headers. This allows for creation of very flexible filters according to rules defined by the user, using the ICAP enabled proxy's ACLs. It is not a URL filter, so implementing it with sslBump or similar proxy technologies makes it very difficult to bypass. Text classification is done using Fast Hyperspace (based on Hyperspace from CRM114) and/or a Fast Naive Bayes. Image and video (when implemented) use haar feature detection from the OpenCV library.
NanoHttpd is a lightweight HTTP server designed for embedding in other applications. It's only one Java file, in two "flavors", one strictly Java 1.1 compatible, and one at "current" standards. It supports GET, POST, PUT, HEAD and DELETE requests, and supports file uploading with very small memory overhead. Temp file usage and the threading model are easily customized.
PySite is not a CMS in the traditional sense. Rather, you manage the contents of a Web site via a file manager interface, which gives you access to all settings (pages, styles, plugins, etc.). Compose your pages with Jinja templates, and edit your code comfortably with syntax highlighting in the ACE editor. You may write your stylesheets in Sass and let the integrated compiler write CSS files. PySite also contains a facility to manage virtual mailboxes, in case you maintain your own SMTP and IMAP server, e.g. with Postfix and Dovecot.
Simblog aims to be one of the most easy-to-use and lightweight blogging platforms. It emphasizes user experience, workflow, and ease of use without neglecting usability and extensibility. It will take full advantage of what HTML5 and CSS3 have to offer without delving too deeply into experimental features. It is built on its own lightweight framework, which allows a high degree of extensibility and modularity for your blog. It uses Smarty as a templating engine (which also provides a caching mechanism), jQuery and Kendo UI for frontend design, and MySQL as a database.
univis2typo3 is a tool to import data from UnivIS into a TYPO3 Web site. This lets you create a Web site for a university department with a few clicks. It automaticaly imports information about people, lectures, projects, publications, and other department information. It has a user-friendly interface to create and edit personal and course Web pages. It can automatically backup and update the data. The Web site will remain available even if the UnivIS server becomes unavailable.
