osis2epub is a a program that converts a Bible text stored in Open Scripture Information Standard (OSIS) format to an EPUB book. The resulting eBook can then be read on various eReaders or converted to another format. Conversion to a simple text format and to a collection of HTML files with an accompanying stylesheet and file list (for direct viewing or subsequent conversion) is also supported.
WormTrack is a network IDS that allows detection of scanning worms on a LAN by monitoring anomalous ARP traffic. This allows detection of scanning threats on the network without having privileged access on a switch to set up a dedicated monitor port. It does not require constant updating of the rules engine to address new threats.
Class::EHierarchy is intended for use as a base class where hierarchally ordered objects are desired. This class allows you to define a parent - child relationship between objects and ensures an orderly destruction of objects according to that relationship, instead of perl's reverse order destruction sequence based on reference counting.
autofwd is an automated firewalling daemon intended to block hosts performing unwanted acts. While it was designed to be used to thwart hosts running dictionary attacks on logins (of any service), it can be used for just about anything. The external commands it runs are configurable, allowing you to take additional actions against offending hosts such as running an nmap OS fingerprint before firewalling, or just silently logging the event.
The Paranoid modules provide a number of routines that are intended for use in strict and taint-safe scripts. The modules cover a variety of tasks from command-line argument parsing to process and network management. All of the modules use a debug trace framework for diagnostic output that is easily used and extended for application code as well.
Moscrack is a WPA cracker for use on clusters. It supports MOSIX, SSH, and RSH connectivity and works by reading a word list from STDIN or a file, breaking it into chunks, and passing those chunks off to separate processes that run in parallel. The parallel processes are then executed on different nodes in your cluster. All results are checked and recorded on your master node. Logging and error handling are taken care of. It is capable of running reliably for long periods of time, without the risk of losing data or having to restart. Moscrack uses aircrack-ng by default. Pyrit for WPA cracking and Dehasher for Unix password hashes are supported via plugins.
