Polypy is a small program to analyze rings in structures read from xyz files. This can be used, for example, to identify defects in crystal structures. The program was initially developed to analyze graphitic carbon structures, but can be used for any other structure. It includes: ring search using Franzblau statistics [Phys. Rev. B 44, 4925]; output structures marked by ring size, which can used for visualization in a program such as VMD; and extensive output with which atoms are in which ring and the neighbors of each atom.
piler is an email archiving application with all the features required for an average company. The most prominent features are full text searching, deduplication, compression, encryption, digital fingerprinting, policy rules, access control, a built-in SMTP server, and Active Directory/openldap support.
The Clacks Framework enables implementators to abstractly manage infrastructure entities, such as users, groups, machines and structure items. These are freely defineable and mappable to various backends like LDAP or MongoDB. Additionally it can handle joined clients, collect inventory data, and manage these clients in various ways. All information, API, and events are exposed on an AMQP message bus, and can be used by shell scripts, Web GUIs, etc.
Java distributed framework is a framework for distributed grid and / or volunteer computing. It's divided into a server and client library. You can create new or implement it into existing applications in no time; you don't need knowledge about network connections, sockets, etc. The Framework does almost everything automatically. It provides secure automatic client <-> server communications, unique IDs, automatic resending of jobs to new clients if needed, user stats, and much more. The client framework supports the detection of the computer's user state (idling, away, online, etc.). It also offers many other useful features and helpers for developing a distributed client application.
