eSMSd is a simple daemon for connecting a Gnokii-handled mobile phone with SQL database into a SMS gateway. It bears great simplicity, and is therefore suitable for custom projects and smaller businesses, but is still powerful enough to handle larger loads. The project is intended as a replacement for Gnokii's SMSd, but is much simpler (therefore great for hacking, learning, and SMS magic) and also a little more portable (SMSd tends to crash on AMD-64).

etherpoke is a scriptable network session monitor. It defines two events, SESSION_BEGIN and SESSION_END, to which a hook (system command) can be assigned. The event hook can be any program installed in the system. SESSION_BEGIN is triggered when the first packet with an Ethernet source address matching the filter is captured. SESSION_END is triggered when the time since the last captured packet with an Ethernet source address matching the filter exceeds the session timeout.

The exifdate application allows you to consistently name files taken with different cameras using the creation date and time stored inside the EXIF data in .jpg files. This makes sorting and archiving very easy.

fake sshd is a fake SSH daemon that logs password attack attempts. It differs from other tools by being built with libssh instead of being a modified version of OpenSSH. It provides no way to login to a shell and can be used to tarpit or delay attackers, and "steal" an attacker's dictionary.

Fix8 is a modern open source C++ FIX framework featuring complete schema driven customisation, high performance, and fast application development. The system is comprised of a compiler for generating C++ message and field encoders, decoders, and instantiation tables, a runtime library to support the generated code and framework, and a set of complete client/server test applications. For the same message, Fix8 encodes 3.2 times faster and decodes 2.3 times faster than Quickfix, an average of 2.7 times. In other words, it reduces encode latency by 69% and reduces decode latency by 56%.

flPlug is a library whose purpose is to bring a type-safe interface for the event callback system of the Fast Light ToolKit (FLTK) library. It provides callbacks that can be private member functions and a type-safe interface. It has been tested with FLTK versions 1.1.* and 1.3.*.

The "fmconv" script modifies the /etc/fstab file and the /boot/grub/menu.lst file to use either UUID strings or device filenames depending upon the parameter settings (-u or -d). This easy conversion to device filenames for maintenance purposes (UUID strings are hard to maintain, and just annoying), and the conversion back to UUID strings allows grub to work in an environment where the boot disk sequence is poorly defined by the BIOS. The original files are never overwritten.

foma is a compiler, programming language, and C library for constructing finite-state automata and transducers for various uses. It has specific support for many natural language processing applications such as producing morphological analyzers. Although NLP applications are probably the main use of foma, it is sufficiently generic to use for a large number of purposes. It comes with an xfst-compatible interface and regular expression language. The library contains efficient implementations of all classical automata/transducer algorithms: determinization, minimization, epsilon-removal, composition, and boolean operations. More advanced construction methods are also available: context restriction, quotients, first-order regular logic, transducers from replacement rules, etc.

fretscpp is strongly inspired by the original FoF, reusing artwork to a large extent, with the source code rewritten from scratch. C++ instead of python should improve performance and allow easier support for features like whammy. It is playable, but some non-critical features are still missing.
