The SimpleV4L2 is a Linux V4L2 grabber program that shows, in XRender accelerated X windows on the screen, a memory RGB buffer captured with the Video For Linux 2 API provided by the libv4l library. It has support for SSSE3 instructions for converting RGB to RGBA zones of memory.
Slideshow is a kiosk-style application for showing text, image, and video in a loop on monitors and projectors. It is not meant for situations where interactive control is required, but when the content is continuously looping for a long time. The content is updated through a Web GUI. The application is split into two packages, the backend and frontend. The backend is written in C++ and OpenGL. and the frontend uses Python. Currently. the frontend is very GNU/Linux specific and will not run on any other platform, but is meant to be as platform independent as possible, as long as it handles OpenGL.
Slim HTML5 Audio jQuery Plugin is a very simple jQuery plugin to embed an audio player. It can insert HTML to play a given audio file using the HTML5 audio tag. It also inserts the embed container tab as fallback when the audio tag is not supported by the Web browser (e.g., IE7 and 8).
SparForte is a scripting language for large projects requiring reliable, scalable code, reduced maintenance time, and strong bug elimination requirements. It is targeted for programmers interested in quickly writing reliable software, educators wanting to teach disciplined programming skills, and advocates of the Ada/Spark programming languages.
Spectra is a simple tool designed to aid in evaluating the quality of random numbers generated by TRNGs and PRNGs. It does this by counting the occurrences of characters within a given input file to help detect perceived bias, and then visualizes the data as colored (or black and white) pixels in an image file to aid in detection of repeating patterns. As the human mind is exceptionally good at picking up on patterns that might otherwise be difficult to detect mathematically, Spectra allows the user to rapidly make a determination on the repeatability of numbers generated from the suspect RNG.
SpeechControl provides speech recognition for Linux. It allows you to train and build archives of your voice so it can understand you with precision, can install standard models and adapt the model to reduce the amount of work you'd have to do and have a wider range of accuracy, and can share your training information with the online repository VoxForge.

StaticPython is a statically linked version of the Python 2.x (currently 2.7.1) and Stackless Python 2.x interpreters and their standard modules for 32-bit (i686, i386, x86) Linux, Mac OS X, and FreeBSD systems. It is distributed as single, statically linked 32-bit executable binaries, which contain the Python scripting engine, the interactive interpreter with command editing (readline), the Python debugger (pdb), most standard Python modules (including pure Python modules and C extensions), coroutine support using greenlet, and multithreading support. The binary contains both the pure Python modules and the C extensions, so no additional .py or .so files are needed to run it. It also works in a chroot environment. The binary uses uClibc, so it supports username lookups and DNS lookups as well (without NSS).
StatusNet Desktop is a dedicated multi-platform client for connecting to StatusNet messaging servers (requires a server running 0.9.3 or later). The client can connect to multiple StatusNet sites to read and post updates, including secure and private installations. Home, public, individual, and group timelines can be read and posted to, as well as direct user-to-user messages and keyword searching of the public notice stream. Support for StatusNet-specific features such as user groups is explicitly included, where these are usually not supported by generic Twitter-API clients.
