Scrotter allows users to place a screenshot from their smartphone, tablet, or other mobile device into a frame of any supported device, and then export their creation as an image. The name "Scrotter" is a portmanteau for "SCReenshOT framER".

Xtar is a standalone archive extractor capable of extracting gzip, bzip2, and xz (and lzma) compressed tar archives. Symbolic links are rewritten to point inside an extracted archive tree. A simple textual progress meter is updated during archive extraction.

Xidel is a command line tool to download Web pages and extract data from them. It can download files over HTTP/S connections, follow redirections, links, or extracted values, and process local files. The data can be extracted using XPath 2.0, XQuery 1.0, and JSONiq expressions, CSS 3 selectors, and custom, pattern-matching templates that are like an annotated version of the processed page. The extracted values can then be exported as plain text/XML/HTML/JSON, or assigned to variables to be used in other extract expressions or be exported to the shell. There is also an online CGI service for testing.

mhvtl is a Linux-based virtual tape library. Supported tape emulations are IBM and HP LTO1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Sony AIT4, STK T10000A, B, and C, and STK 9x40. It supports WORM, data, and cleaning media. Most applications work using STK L180/L700 library emulation. It has been successfully used with NetBackup, BackupExec, NetWorker, TSM, Oracle Secure Backup, and many other programs.
