Capsule Tree is a general purpose, self-balancing tree data structure for large, ordered data sets. It is designed to provide the same characteristics as B-trees and B+trees, but built from the ground up for in-memory usage. In other words, there are no provisions for “slow” I/O cases. The original motivation for this tree was a better backend for memory managers. However, the end result was a new sub-category of trees.
CS::SkipList Library is a C++ template library of containers based on skip lists. These containers work like sets and maps, but can also be accessed via numerical index. This collection has vector-like containers where all operations work in logarithmic time. It also has a composite container where you can order the same elements in many different ways at the same time.
The STX ExecPipe library provides a convenient C++ interface to execute child programs connected via pipes. It is a front-end to the system calls fork(), pipe(), select(), and execv() and hides all the complexity of these low-level functions. It allows a program to build a sequence of connected children programs with the input and output of the pipe sequence redirected to a file, string, or file descriptor. The library also allows custom asynchronous data processing classes to be inserted into the pipe or placed at the source or sink of the sequence.
The stx::CBTreeDB is a collection of C++ classes with which read-only key-value database files can be created and read. A database efficiently maps a large number of integral fixed-length keys to opaque binary value blobs. Variable-length or duplicate keys are currently not supported. Keys are organized into a highly compact index structure, which is very similar to a B-tree and allows very fast key lookups. Both keys and values are stored in order and thus queries in a local proximity can benefit from caching effects. All applications mapping a large number of constant, integral keys to string or data blobs can benefit from this library.
PolarSSL is a light-weight cryptographic and SSL/TLS library written in C. PolarSSL makes it easy for developers to include cryptographic and SSL/TLS capabilities in their (embedded) applications with as little hassle as possible. Loose coupling of the components inside the library means that it is easy to separate the parts that are needed, without needing to include the total library. PolarSSL is written with embedded systems in mind and has been ported on a number of architectures, including ARM, PowerPC, MIPS, and Motorola 68000. The source is written to have very loose coupling, enabling easy integration of parts in other software projects. Very loosely coupled cryptographic algorithms for MD2, MD4, MD5, SHA1, SHA-256, SHA-512, AES, Camellia, DES, Triple DES, ARC3, and RSA are included.
The Parsing Expression Grammar Template Library (PEGTL) is a C++0x library for creating parsers according to a Parsing Expression Grammar (PEG). Grammars are embedded as regular C++ code, created with template programming (not template meta programming). These hierarchies naturally correspond to the inductive definition of PEGs. The library extends on the subject of PEGs with new expression types, actions that can be attached to grammar rules, and mechanisms to ensure helpful diagnostics in case of parsing errors. PEGs are superficially similar to Context-Free Grammars (CFGs).
