asmutils is a set of miscellaneous utilities written in assembly language, targeted on embedded systems and small distributions (e.g. installation or rescue disks). It also contains a small libc and a crypto library. It is optimized for size, memory usage, and speed, and offers fairly good functionality. The project supports Linux and the BSD family. Unixware, Solaris, and AtheOS support is in beta stage. This package also aims to provide a portable development framework, and to encourage assembly programmers to write for Linux/Unix.

BX/XIK automates the integration of Sitraka's (formerly KL Group) Motif based XRT widgets into Builder Xcessory PRO. After installing the XRT Integration Kit, the XRT widgets will appear on the BX PRO palette and can be "dragged-and-dropped" to create a sophisticated Motif-based user interface.

CGI::Application is a Perl framework intended to make it easier to create sophisticated, reusable Web-based applications. This module implements a methodology which can make Web software easier to design, easier to document, easier to write, and easier to evolve. CGI::Application builds on standard, non-proprietary technologies and techniques, such as the Common Gateway Interface and Lincoln D. Stein's excellent CGI.pm module. CGI::Application judiciously avoids employing technologies and techniques which would bind a developer to any one set of tools, operating system, or Web server.

ChemApp is a programming tool from the area of computational thermochemistry. It is a library consisting of a rich set of subroutines, based on the thermodynamic phase equilibrium calculation module of ChemSage. It permits the calculation of complex, multicomponent, multiphase chemical equilibria and their associated energy balances. ChemApp is available as object code for a wide range of platforms and as a shared library/DLL. ChemApp "light" is the free version of ChemApp, and although it is restricted in two ways compared to the regular version, it gives you almost the same functionality.

interpcom is a command interpreter library in C that can be used to build scientific applications. It is very easy to add new commands. The library contains an expression evaluator that can be used to parse the arguments of the commands. It is possible to define "objects" which are arrays of numbers having a name, and structures. It is possible to use threads (several programs running simultaneously).

Heartbeat is a full-function high-availability system for Linux and other POSIX-like OSes. It monitors services and restarts them on errors. When managing a cluster (more than 1 machine), it will also monitor the members of the cluster and begin recovery of lost services in less than a second. It runs over serial ports and UDP broadcast/multicast, as well as OpenAIS multicast. It is easily adapted to different interconnect media and protocols. When used in a cluster, it can operate using shared disks, data replication, or no data sharing. Versions starting with 2.0 are comparable to any commercial HA package, providing resource monitoring, larger clusters, and detailed dependency information.

Oberon2 is a simple and safe object-oriented language created by N.Wirth, the author of Pascal and Modula2. It is statically strongly typed and has garbage collection. Most of good ideas incorporated in design of Java were in Oberon2 long before. OOC is an open source project to produce a family of optimizing Oberon2 compilers. The compiler with an ANSI C back-end, oo2c, is quite mature, and provides a complete and convenient Oberon2 development environment. It comes with a rather comprehensive standard library, Code Navigator, and an Emacs mode. It is easy to call C functions and libraries from Oberon2.

picoTK is a C GUI toolkit that requires only a minimum of memory resources. It is intended for embedded system use, especially for (but not limited to) the RTEMS realtime kernel. It is in no way comparable featurewise to a "real" full blown windows toolkit like Qt or nanoX; it rather provides simple drawing primitives like lines, filled rectangles, characters, and pixmaps. (But that is what many embedded applications might ask for.) It directly works on tailored "framebuffer" hardware. A Linux framebuffer emulator is supplied as part of the kit, making evaluation (and emulation!) possible without having a realtime OS and custom hardware.

GTL can be seen as an extension of the Standard Template Library STL to graphs and fundamental graph algorithms. It is a platform independent and extendible C++ library, and is a useful aid to any software designer. It contains the classes needed to work with graphs, nodes, and edges, and some fundamental algorithms as building blocks for more complex graph algorithms. Customized algorithms can be developed by experienced programmers.
