Lua is a programming language originally designed for extending applications, but also frequently used as a general-purpose, stand-alone language. It combines simple procedural syntax (similar to Pascal) with powerful data description constructs based on associative arrays and extensible semantics. It is dynamically typed, interpreted from bytecodes, and has automatic memory management, making it ideal for configuration, scripting, and rapid prototyping. It is implemented as a small library of C functions, written in ANSI C, and compiles unmodified in all known platforms. The implementation goals are simplicity, efficiency, portability, and low embedding cost. It has been used on games such as World of Warcraft, FarCry and Angry Birds, among others.
Zild is a C application server with support for the common servlet technology and servlet API in C. It includes support for ServerPages, PHP, XML SAX parser, HTTP/1.1 and SSL/TLS connectors, HTML form-based and Basic Authentication access controls, a built-in embedded SQL database, and many more functions.
Audiality is a highly scalable and portable audio engine and synthesizer. MIDI files are used in combination with scripting and modular synthesis, to minimize file sizes and maximize flexibility. Audiality can be used as a music and sound effects player in multimedia productions, or as a realtime MIDI synthesizer.
WebComp is a tool for using scripting to compose and configure Web sites from various existing components, such as static HTML, Java Servlets, Java server pages, and others. It includes a scripting language, a component model/framework, and a set of basic pluggable components to use with it. It is based on Java Servlets.
FrAid (Fr[actal] Aid) is a programming language that is appropriate for mathematical computations, visualization, batch processing, and more. It features both a standalone application that provides a programming environment for the language and a system for integrating the language with Java. The Java interface allows mathematical equations and formulas to be used with Java code, making it easier to process numerical computations, symbolic computations, imaging, CAD, and more.
PostScript::CDCover generates a Postscript program that prints a CD cover and backlabel, with contents displayed as a tree of directories and files. The module ships with a stand-alone, ready-to-use script, pscdcover, that takes the directory tree of a CD-ROM as input and generates a cover from it. The output can be directly fed to a PostScript printer, but it is designed to be easily editable (should one wish to remove unwanted directory entries, for example).
The EASY pdflib provides a set of functions and procedures which allow an easy generation of PDF files from within tdbengine-based Web applications. It generates Adobe Acrobat Reader compliant output. There are common functions for drawing simple texts, tables, or graphics, as well as table access functions to directly output database contents.
Auto-Responder is a PHP class that implements an email auto-response system. It accesses mailboxes via POP3 or IMAP protocols and sends out automatic responses emails to the messages found in the inbox folder. After the auto- response is sent, the mails are marked read or can be deleted. This class is meant to be used from tasks run periodically for instance as cron jobs.
