Blitz++ library moves high-level optimizations out of compilers and into libraries in C++. It was created due to the fact that until recently, C++ lagged behind Fortran's performance by anywhere from 20% to a factor of ten. The C++ programming language offers many features useful for tackling complex scientific computing problems, but unfortunately, these advanced features came with this hefty performance pricetag. This program presents a possible solution.
DSP implements several low-level digital signal processing (DSP) primitives accelerated, when available, by the Intel/AMD SIMD instruction sets MMX/SSE/SSE2. Portable C versions are provided for compatibility on non-IA32 machines. Routines are provided to compute 16-bit integer dot products (FIR filtering, correlation); sum-of-squares (signal energy measurement), and peak sample detection (for automatic gain control, etc.).
SHTns is a high-performance Spherical Harmonic Transform library. It was designed for numerical simulation (fluid flows, mhd, etc.) in spherical geometries, but can be used for any kind of problem involving scalar or vector spherical harmonics. It is very fast, thanks to careful vectorization and runtime tuning. It supports multi-threaded transforms via OpenMP. It features scalar and vector transforms, synthesis and analysis, and flexible truncation and normalization. A Python interface is included.
The Maximum Entropy Toolkit provides a set of tools and library for constructing maximum entropy (maxent) models in either Python or C++. It features conditional maximum entropy models, L-BFGS and GIS parameter estimation, Gaussian Prior smoothing, a C++ API, a Python extension module, a command line utility, and good documentation.
MpNT is a multi-precision number theory library that provides a base for building cryptographic applications. It may also be used in any other domain where efficient large number computations are required. The library supports integer, modular, and floating point arithmetic with practically unlimited precision. It is both speed efficient and highly portable without disregarding code structure and clarity.
