Curie is a very minimalistic, tiny C library. It supports basic I/O, basic networking, S-expression based I/O, signal handling, process handling, and I/O multiplexing. If the target architecture is explicitly supported, statically linked binaries may be as small as 4-20 kilobytes; if not, then it only relies on the host's C library. The library explicitly does not provide a POSIX interface so that it may be used in conjunction with a regular host libc (or without one).
plptools lets Unix (mainly Linux) systems communicate with EPOC PDAs (such as the Psion Revo, Psion Series 5, and Geofox 1) via a serial or (on Linux) infra-red connection. The following tools are part of the package: plpftp, an FTP-like frontend with some extensions; plpfuse, a FUSE-based file system that mounts the EPOC device's file systems on the PC; sisinstall, a SIS package installer; and plpprintd, a print server for printing via a PC.
The SeaMonkey project is a community effort to develop an all-in-one Internet application suite. It contains an Internet browser, email and newsgroup client with an included Web feed reader, HTML editor, IRC chat, and Web development tools, and is sure to appeal to advanced users, Web developers, and corporate users. It uses much of the Mozilla source code powering such successful siblings as Firefox, Thunderbird, Camino, Sunbird, and Miro.
STXXL is an implementation of the C++ standard template library STL for external memory (out-of-core) computations. STXXL implements containers and algorithms that can process huge volumes of data that only fit on disks. While compatibility with the STL supports ease of use and compatibility with existing applications, another design priority is high performance.
QP is a family of lightweight software frameworks for building responsive and modular real-time embedded applications as systems of cooperating, event-driven active objects (actors). The QP family consists of QP/C, QP/C++, and QP-nano frameworks, which are all strictly quality controlled, superbly documented, and commercially licensable. The behavior of active objects is specified in QP by means of hierarchical state machines (UML statecharts). The frameworks support manual coding of UML state machines in C or C++ as well as automatic code generation by means of the free QM modeling tool. All QP frameworks can run on bare-metal MCUs, completely replacing a traditional RTOS. Ports and ready-to-use examples are provided for all major CPUs, such as ARM Cortex-M, ARM7/9, MSP430, C28x, C55x, RX, R8C, AVR32, AVRMega, PIC24/dsPIC, as well as Arduino and mbed. QP/C and QP/C++ can also work with a traditional OS/RTOS, such as: POSIX (Linux, QNX), Windows, VxWorks, ThreadX, and uC/OS.
Armadillo is a C++ linear algebra library (matrix maths) aiming towards a good balance between speed and ease of use. Integer, floating point, and complex numbers are supported, as well as a subset of trigonometric and statistics functions. Various matrix decompositions are provided through optional integration with LAPACK and ATLAS libraries. A delayed evaluation approach, based on template meta-programming, is used (during compile time) to combine several operations into one and reduce or eliminate the need for temporaries.
