Thinknowlogy is grammar-based software, designed to utilize the Natural Laws of Intelligence in grammar, in order to create intelligence through natural language in software. This is demonstrated by programming in natural language, reasoning in natural language and drawing conclusions (more detailed than scientific solutions), making assumptions (with self-adjusting level of uncertainty), asking questions (about gaps in the knowledge), and detecting conflicts in the knowledge. It builds semantics autonomously (with no vocabularies or words lists), detecting some cases of semantic ambiguity. It is multi-grammar, proving that Natural Laws of Intelligence are universal.
FlashCardPrinter is a lean framework for printing flash cards. Flash cards help you learn your vocabulary or similar things that can be described in a few words. Flash cards are typically used in a flash card box according to the Leitner System. Each of the cards contains a question on the front side and the answer on the back side. You check the knowledge of each cards several times with increasing time between.
new-words is a script that helps you to control your vocabulary and find unknown words in texts before you start to read them. It is intended to be run in a console; the interactive part of the work is done by means of a text editor (vim by default). It features: words frequency information about words in a text; users vocabulary control; support for several languages; dictionary software integration; and the ability to make notes for unknown words.
JWordTrainer is a generic tool that helps you to memorize words for basically any pair of languages. You must first add the words from your individual lessons to input files, then specify how many words from which input files you want to be asked. The program will randomly show words and a button that shows the translation. Pali-English is included as an example language pair, along with a README that explains in detail how to add new words and languages.
Vocab Builder is a collection of two separate programs. The client is the testing application that uses a drill-style method of building your vocabulary in a foreign language, similar to using flash-cards. The editor allows you to create a new, or modify an existing, database for your own personal use. Since the design of the project allows a user to create their own databases/tests, they can not only focus on the words they want/need to learn, but also are not restricted by availability of choice. No more are you restricted by only the databases available to you. Many language teaching applications only allow you to learn the languages they've supplied you. Most North American-based programs cater to English speaking users and only give you a selection of other languages to choose from. Not only can Vocab Builder use any language combination of Native and Secondary languages but it's also open-ended. You can share your tests with others. You can expand the database of words in any direction you want. Word lists are meant to be broken down into categories like colors, sizes, numbers, etc.
