labelgrid is a Web-based label design and printing software. It is useful for printing address labels, business cards, product price tags, and product labels. The software provides a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor for designing the label and has a unique calibration mechanism to help users print the labels using their Web browsers. labelgrid comes with an expandable label template database to help users create labels for commonly used off-the-shelf labels. Alternatively, users can also choose to create a customized template for their labels.
COMPO is a graphical design application for Ubuntu/Debian. It allows you to design and position graphical and text objects on defined areas of a larger page. You can use it to make business cards, labels, folded fliers, etc. Different compositions can be placed on different target areas of the same page, and non-grid layouts are supported.
Gig Cable Label generates label images with numbers in the Resistor code colors and letters in red with a white background, with a QR code to the right side of the label. The QR codes size is based on the string size of the text and ECC level (the better the error correction, the less text that can be encoded). All labels can be made with the select boxes provided for both Numeric and Alphanumeric codes. QR codes can be generated from phone numbers, URLs, email addresses, VCARDS, and custom text.
