XBSDB allows you to operate with data arrays in your JavaScript code like with SQL data. You can insert, delete, update, and select records, and you can use indexes to make the selection faster. JSON-based methods allow you to prepare data on one side (browser or Web server) and to load them on the other (Web server or browser). Using XBSDB allows you to move some database operations from the Web server to the client machine and to reduce number of Web server requests. XBSDB consists of two parts, one for the browser and one for the Web server. The browser part is the core; the Web server part just prepares data for exchange. The browser part is JavaScript code, and the Web server part is presented in two equivalent variants in Perl and PHP.

It was designed to chat about mathematics and physics on IRC, ICQ, MSN, et al. where messenger plugins are not available. A formula author can pass a URL to dialogue partners to show them equations and formulae while they are being typed. Formulax relies on PHP, prototype (included), and mimeTeX (has to be installed). All that is needed on the client side is any JavaScript-enabled Web browser.

PreParse is a library designed to simplify Web development. It does this by running JavaScript and CSS through a preprocessor that rewrites standards-compliant style rules to work in any browser and extends and standardizes JavaScript, resulting in faster load times and quicker execution. Some of the extensions added to JavaScript include proper class declarations, a here-document feature, and the ability to include server-side functions in client-side scripting.

Three-Column Liquid-Layout Viewport provides a viewport-based user interface for a data-oriented Web application. It is good for use with Web applications implemented with a single Web page. The basic skeleton of the user-interface is similar to that used in MS Outlook and other applications: a left-hand column, a main center column divided into a master-detail pane arrangement, and a right-hand column. The reference implementation uses YUI3 as a JavaScript engine. However, YUI3 only does the resizing and DOM access, so other frameworks should work with it as well. It differs significantly from the ExtJS Viewport in that it aligns closely with HTML and CSS, instead of layering its own rendering engine on top of them. This results in a viewport that is fast to debug, clear, fast to load, small to download, and has a robust level of functionality and extensibility.
