ShoutChat allows developers to add an instant message (or IRC) like shout box to Web sites. The shoutchat is an iframe element (Mozilla compatible), and the script operates using Javascript and stores the messages in a MySQL database (a file gets complicated with synchronous posts, so a database was favored). The look of the box is controlled through styles. All the modern browsers are supported (including Konqueror). In order to act more like an instant chat, it handles some of the details that other shout boxes do not. It uses Javascript head requests to check for new messages, refreshing the iframe and scrolling down to the new message when one is detected. Several IRC features are included, such as channels. Finally, a text formatting engine called FastFormat code is used to decorate text and create special links.

sMArTH is an equation editor built on open Web standards. The editor itself uses a SVG interface and the application logic is implemented in ECMAScript using the DOM. Both MathML and LaTeX are supported as exporting formats in addition to the SVG format. The most important mathematical content from both LaTeX and MathML is already provided, and this should cover the need of the majority of users. The graphical user interface allows even the most complex equations to be built with simple "Point and Click" techniques instead of writing convoluted typesetting code.

Annotatio is an implementation of a client and a server based on the W3C Annotea protocol. It allows you to create and share annotations to various types of documents. Most people can use this program to save comments to HTML documents, but it also supports other types of annotations and XML-like documents. In opposition to the current implementation of the W3C, Annotatio will save enhanced information of the annotation's positioning within the document, which will allow positing the annotation even if the location or structure of the original document has changed. In local mode, it will save all annotations locally, and in remote mode, it will save the annotations on a central Annotea-compatible server, such as Annotatio Server.

Running on a Linksys WRT54G or compatible router powered by the Linux firmware OpenWRT, Wi-viz places the wireless apparatus into a special monitor mode that doesn't interfere with the operation of the router. Here it sits, examining all wireless packets coming into the interface and extracting valuable information about the surrounding wireless infrastructure. With an intuitive Web interface, it exposes this information in a simple, easy-to-use, self-arranging graphical format.
