UniModeling is a big data analytics tool for unified modeling and reasoning in outdoor and indoor spaces. It supports the construction of unified graph models of outdoor and indoor spaces and RFID deployments in these spaces. It enables probabilistic incorporation of RFID data, facilitating the tracking of moving objects and enables the search for them to be optimized. Also included are three reasoning applications that pertain to the positioning of RFID readers in outdoor and indoor spaces and the points of potential traffic (over)load in these spaces.
HEALPix is a set of scientific tools implementing the Hierarchical Equal Area isoLatitude Pixelation of the sphere. As suggested in the name, this pixelation produces a subdivision of a spherical surface in which every single pixel covers the same surface area. HEALPix provides various programs and libraries in C, C++, Fortran, GDL/IDL, Java, and Python which facilitate discretization, simulation, processing, analysis, and visualization of data on the sphere up to very high resolution. It is the state-of-the-art program used in astronomy and cosmology to deal with massive full-sky data sets.
The eXtensible Binary Universal Protocol (XBUP) project is an attempt to design a general binary communication protocol and file format. It is based on the unlimited unary-binary encoding and strongly typed block tree structure. It will provide a catalog service and processing infrastructure.
CT-gui is a touch-friendly GUI toolkit which can be used on the Linux desktop and on Android devices. Development can be done quickly and easily on a Linux box, then ported to an Android tablet or phone. For graphics, only OpenGL or OpenGL ES is used. For audio, ALSA is used for Linux and OpenSL ES for Android. As you might expect, the Android SDK and NDK should be installed on your system. Two demo projects called CT-synth and CT-farfisa are included, which are a polyphonic synthesizer with about 20 built-in patches, and an organ with many sounds. These can be played using the mouse or your fingers, or with an attached MIDI keyboard.
