MicroSweeper is Minesweeper-like game intended for J2ME-capable (MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1) hand-held devices. The game allows optional determinism, which when turned on, ensures that each mine can be discovered without guessing. Besides the traditional game, it provides a pseudo-hexagonal grid and games with various "neighborhood" patterns, where the number on the field is computed from mines located further from the field itself.
ToneTool is a J2ME application for generating various tones and selective calling sequences used in professional radio communication systems. By using a mobile phone, one does not need any external hardware encoder, tone dialer, or expensive radiotelephone. Currently supported modes are DTMF, Select-V, and 1750 Hz repeater tone.
Loanr is a simple loan calculator. It's been tested on primary BlackBerry devices and Symbian devices. It's handy to have when looking to purchase a car from a dealer with their frequent jumping back-and-forth from total payments to monthly payments, but also works for other types of loans and less low-pressure situations.
