Lynis is an security auditing and hardening tool for Unix derivatives like Linux/BSD/Solaris. It performs an in-depth scan on the system to detect software and security issues. Besides information related to security, it will also scan for general system information, installed packages, and possible configuration mistakes. The software is aimed at assisting automated auditing, configuration management, software patch management, vulnerability detection, and malware scanning of Unix-based systems.

PHP Mini SQL Admin is a light, standalone script for accessing MySQL databases. It is intended for Web developers and requires knowledge of SQL commands.
Release Notes: This release eliminated a couple of low risk XSS vulnerabilities, fixed CSV export in UTF-8 encoding, added the ability to quickly create new databases and a proper view for binary database fields, and implemented several minor ehnancements.

Release Notes: All vestiges of the C/H/S user interface were removed.-l <blocks> is now used instead. LBA mode is forced for MBR on disk images. disklabel is now fed with the disktab file instead of formatted output. disktab is used for vnconfig to allow non-512 byte sector size for images. Alternate sector sizes are now accommodated in disklabel by scaling fsize. More assumptions of 512 byte sector size were removed.
dlib is a C++ library for developing portable applications dealing with networking, threads, graphical interfaces, data structures, linear algebra, machine learning, XML and text parsing, numerical optimization, Bayesian nets, and numerous other tasks.
Release Notes: The major new feature in this release is a Python API for training histogram-of-oriented-gradient based object detectors and examples showing how to use this type of detector to perform real-time face detection. Simpler interfaces were provided for learning to solve assignment and multi-target tracking problems.
pfm is a terminal-based file manager written in Perl. All pfm commands can be invoked with one- or two-key commands. It features integration with version control systems, use of the ReadLine library for friendly command line editing, support for executing user-defined commands, colored filenames according to extension or type, a single-file and multiple-file mode, and bookmarks for directories.
Release Notes: This release was updated for compatibility with the latest versions of Term::ReadLine::Gnu and Subversion. A major bug on Darwin/Mac OS X where all shell commands seemed to have failed was fixed. Some minor bugs in job handling and the cd command were fixed. Support for the aufs layered filesystem was added. A <=0> shortcut for referring to a symlink's target was added. <=8> escape handling was improved. Minor feature enhancements were added and documentation was updated.
OpenGrok is a fast and usable source code search and cross reference engine. It helps you search, cross-reference, and navigate your source tree. It can understand various program file formats and version control histories like Mercurial, Bazaar, Git, ClearCase, Perforce, SCCS, RCS, CVS, or Subversion. In other words, it lets you grok (profoundly understand) the source.
Release Notes: This release has been tested with JDK7 and Tomcat 7. JDK6 is now unsupported. Lucene 4.7.1 is now used, as it is much faster, does not need a spellindex, and supports regexp search. PL/SQL, Scala, and uuencode languages/analyzers were added. PHP analyzers were improved. Monotone and Mercurial SCM support was improved, and AccuRev and Surround SCMs are now supported. New config options were provided in the OpenGrok script. Search by analyzer/language is now possible. Full history tracking for files renamed in Mercurial repositories was added (disabled by default). Many history cache fixes and tunables were applied. A zaphist history cleanup command was added along with better developer info.
Berkeley Yacc (byacc) is a high-quality yacc variant. It is written to avoid dependencies upon a particular compiler. It was written around 1990 by Robert Corbett, who previously wrote Bison. This version has been modified to conform to ANSI C.
Release Notes: This release provides part of the functionality from btyacc (back-tracking), as well as useful extensions for showing locations and a destructor feature for freeing complex memory chunks. The test suite was extended to cover these and existing features, using lcov to measure the total test-coverage.
web2ldap is a full-featured Web-based LDAPv3 client written in Python. It is designed to run either as with stand-alone built-in Web server or under the control of another Web server with FastCGI support (e.g. Apache with mod_fastcgi). It has support for various LDAPv3 bind methods and a powerful built-in schema browser. HTML templates are supported for displaying and editing entries, and LDIF templates can be used for quickly adding new entries. A built-in X.509 parser displays a detailed view of certificates and CRLs with active links.

Highlight is a universal converter from source code to HTML, XHTML, RTF, TeX, LaTeX, SVG, BBCode, and terminal escape sequences. (X)HTML and SVG output are formatted by Cascading Style Sheets. It supports more than 170 programming languages, and includes 80 highlighting color themes. The configuration files are Lua scripts with plug-in support. The converter includes some features to provide a consistent layout of the output code.
Release Notes: Filenames without extensions (ie. makefile) can be mapped in filetypes.conf. Rexx highlighting was fixed, and a GDB language definition was added. A "the" editor theme was added.

ChaosEsque Anthology is a first person shooter. It is a standalone modification of Xonotic which includes extended weapons, maps, vehicles, buildable buildings, mounted weapons, spell casting, monsters, player characters, textures, and game modes.
Release Notes: The grenade mutator has been added to this release (off hand grenades); V to throw. Additionally, you can now turn your gun sideways by pressing L; recoil is directed in the new changed axis. A laser dot can be enabled on the pistol (F+R), and its intensity and brightness toggled. Some new buildings have been added to the building mutator. Various bugfixes with regards to the rotary cannon on the light tank and mannable turret(s) have been accomplished. Grenades can be enabled in the create>start weapons menu.
Release Notes: The most notable changes are a completely new plotting algorithm for function graphs and curves. Further, there are new elements: polarline, polarpoint, radicalaxis, stepfunction, and cardinal splines. The visual appearance of the navigation bar has been improved, speed has been improved, and many bugs have been fixed.
ECMA-55 Minimal BASIC is a compiler for "Minimal BASIC" as specified by the ECMA-55 standard. The target is AMD64/EM64T/x86-64 machines running a modern Linux distribution (a 3.x kernel). This compiler will create Assembly Language output files. These must be assembled into object files and linked to create an executable. The Assembly dialect used is that of GNU gas.
Release Notes: The official 1.0 release includes 'make install' with the DESTDIR support, man pages for all commands, and the 'wide' support fully implemented.
Qccrypt is a very small graphical frontend for the ccrypt encryption/decryption commandline program. The file to encrypt/decrypt can be passed as a parameter on the commandline.
Release Notes: This release adds a new homemade logo, available in several resolutions, drag-and-drop functionalities (one file or folder at a time), and a new option for folder encryption: it's now possible to not encrypt already-encrypted files (enabled by default).

XMLFoundation provides a foundation for XML support in an application. However, it is more than just another XML parser. It applies a unique approach to handling XML that allows your application code to focus on the application rather than traversing DOM or subscribing to SAX events. The most unique feature of the XMLFoundation is the object oriented encapsulation that provides XML support in the application layer. XMLFoundation allows you to easily integrate XML with your GUI or with your server objects, and it natively supports COM, DCOM, and CORBA objects.
Release Notes: This release has run the Microsoft Code Analysis in MSDev2012, reviewed all output, silenced some warnings, and added a few if(!Null) checks. It adds two new utility classes, GString0, and GString32, and modifies XMLObject and GString for them (see note under [m_pzkTheWord] in [IndexObjects.cpp] about why the new GStrings were created). The MSVC2012 project for CustomHTTPService has been fixed to properly exclude the files from the build.
codecrypt is a GnuPG-like program for encryption and signing that uses only quantum-computer-resistant algorithms.
Release Notes: This release adds lots of new ciphers (made from ChaCha20 and provably-secure XSYND), adds support for symmetric encryption (for large files), removes some obsolete RC4 usage, and adds some convenience features.
Evo/Lution is a live CD with a graphical installer for Arch Linux. Evo, the live CD, is an Arch based OS that cannot be installed. It is simply a platform to run the Lution installer, which is made to install Arch. It has options to install anything ranging from the Arch base, to base + the packages you select, including complete turn key desktop environments. The installer downloads all the packages you select from the Arch repositories during the install process so you always end up with a current, up to date install.
Release Notes: This release fixes partition labels when selecting the "Erase disk and install Arch" option.
phpMyAdmin is a tool intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. It can create, rename, and drop databases, create/drop/alter tables, delete/edit/add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields, create dumps of tables and databases, export/import CSV data, and administrate one single database and multiple MySQL servers.
Release Notes: It's now possible to load and save query-by-example requests. There are new export options, and a "favorite tables" feature.
Quenlig is a standalone system allowing the creation of interactive Web tutorials and questionnaires. The system analyzes the student textual answer, so it is perfectly adapted to create courses and practical works on Unix, Python, SQL, etc.
Release Notes: This release adds a command line option to run any plugin (for example 'export_csv'). The default student answer can now be generated by a function. The users can now have multiple sessions (and pages) in their browsers. The Unix questionnary (in french) has been updated.
